Savanna stared at the window. Her eyes watched the open field, the same field they were on with Vashka three days ago

She couldn't really remember a lot but the fights of Lucas and Vashka but that was all it until she lost conscious. Now she woke up in her room with a needle stuck on her arm. Everything seemed lighter yet silent and all she could think was

"Savanna"

Savanna turned just in time to see Amanda, walking towards her in her vibrant smile she always wore after the war. She stood behind the underground safe house with other pups and wives who were unable to fight since she was still recovering from an injury herself. Many had died, brave wolves who stood for their race to continue and they died as heroes but somehow they were lucky everyone she cared were safe, except for her father who stood beside her through war. They may not be as friends and that was what made her down, the fact that they couldn't have Mend the wounds on his last dying time but somehow, Amanda and the others had reassured her that he died protecting her too

That he did still love Savanna as her daughter

Yet Savanna really couldn't help it, he died with the thought of her still a murderer

"Savanna?"

Suddenly Savanna snap back to see an amuse Amanda and beside her, Raphael who stood with a small smile

"Hmm?"

Amanda chilled before she led Savanna towards the bed "I was trying to get your attention but you seem occupied with Savanna land. So, a Penny for your thoughts?"

Savanna only shook her head as she watched both the couple snuggle each other's heat as if they couldn't step away

"Nothing really, just...."

"The war" Amanda stated sadly before she looked at Raphael with a worried expression "I don't really know what happened but it must be traumatizing-"

"No! I mean- although it was hard for all of us, it's not about it though, it's about my father and... What happened after that" Savanna trailed off as her eyes watched both her hands that were currently bandaged

"Oh well-"

"Raphael, honey didn't you think Lucas should be explaining everything to her?" Amanda gave him a silent glare that didn't go unnoticed to Savanna while Raphael only looked at her, unbothered and clueless

"And why should my brother tell her, he should even visit his mate after three day-" Amanda finally elbowed Raphael who still didn't have a clue which irritated the heck out of Amanda

"You know what" Amanda turned to face Savanna which a smile on her face before she clasp both her hands in a clap "why don't Lucas explain that, after all he was there"

"Speaking of Lucas, where is he?" Savanna asked. it's not like she forgot, she just didn't have the courage to ask after she woke up

Raphael smiled like a kid before he answered "he's been busy with handling the packs and the death of their loved ones, in fact Alaric had given him the lead as he helps out the other packs go back to their land. Things have been... Busy. But I'm happy to say everything is alright now" he said with a triumphed grin

"How about my fathers pack? And.... Alester?"

Amanda took Savannan hand and squeezed it motherly "they left. Your pack had to go back and bring a new beta..."

Savanna only stared aimlessly as the wind blew through the room just as her memories floated through her broken mind
