Dear Jen,
Hey! Long time, no write. I hope you're doing okay. Everything going alright? Haven't been put into the center of attention or almost burned by life? No? That's great! Anyway I wanted to write to you so SOMEONE heard me. I'm in a relationship with an old friend but new people keep catching my attention. I can't help for wanting something more. My boyfriend never really sees me. He can't afford the gas. My aunt isn't too happy with me. She thinks I'm wasting my time thinking about boys, and fantasizing about Harry Potter. Well at least it's better than living life on a computer. Where the only friends I've got are computer generated nonuser characters! I'm tired of the computer games. I used to sing a lot but now I'm only singng if I'm completely alone. Which with this family is almost never. Ah well, nothing I can do about it. I got to go. Maybe I'll write again. Who knows? I might end up dying before I get back.

"Shadow! Get down here NOW!" Shadow's aunt's voice floated up to her room. Sighing she put her diary in it's place beneath the bed frame wedged where no one could find it.
"Coming!" Looking into the mirror across from her bed she sighed and whispered,"Not like I have a choice."
