Dear Jen,

Hey long time no see! I can't believe that I still have you. It's been a while since I thought of you. I got busy with some things. I left my Aunt's house. I've been getting things from my father, and I have been staying with a friend and her family. The pace is much easier. I keep my money now. It's a big shocker. I was planning on giving them ninty percent of my check but they actually told me No. They said they would be happy to let me stay until I get back on my feet and they are helping me out. So far me and my friend have been sharing a room but We don't fight nearly as much as I antisipated we would as roommates. I find that I really don't need to fear the future as much any more. I'm glad I  befriended Ami in 11th grade. I'm glad that she befriended me too. Anyway I better go. Work is calling and I wouldn't want to lose this job.

Closing the journal gently Shadow placed it into a box. She had been out of her Aunt's house for Seven Months and twenty- two days. She went to make amends once and because they were too proud it only worked for that day. The one person who helped her when she needed it was the one person that they didn't want her to associate with. She was tired of thier petty squabbles. They hadn't even wished her happy birthday. And they absolutely refused to acknowledge that she was an adult. 'Oh well,' She thought. She picked up her lunch box and walked out the door.
