I can hold time for still for around two hours. Any longer and I lose consciousness. I can open time warps. I protect the time from 'intrusions'.

I walked across the frozen city; nothing moved everything was unnaturally silent. I was used to this silence. I entered the Domino Museum; where pieces of a puzzle clicked together, and memories flowed fleetingly through my mind.
I released my spell. Everything began to move like clockwork. Silently, I wove between the crowds. I entered the new ancient Egypt exhibit. It was off limits, but no one messes with a Kaiba. I stared, motionless up at a giant, stone tablet. Intricate hieroglyphs laced the front, but for some reason it was always like English to me.

I sat cross legged on the floor in front of stone tablet. Almost meditating, deep in thought I read the words back and forth.

-------Time skip-------

I heard the familiar voices in the exhibit next to the one I was in, I heard my brother's voice "Where's she got to now! I can't believe I trusted her!"
I sighed time to move on. Seto's eyes were deathly cold. His scowl consuming his face. He expelled a snort when he saw me, so naturally I stood up to meet his gaze. His six foot one frame towered over me. I unlocked my phone, "Don't you dare lay a hand on me. That school is a trap. I'm out of here."
I prepared myself to draw upon the ancient powers that flowed through my item. I felt a hand grasp my wrist, I looked to see Mokuba trying to drag me down. I shouldn't have let this distract my attention as the next thing I felt was Seto's arm over my face. He stank like aftershave again. He laughed and smiled, I hated that.

I felt my eyes burning. Seto must have felt a change in temperature because he released his grip. I felt like I was going to be incinerated. Screaming in pain and instinctively dropped to my knees. I looked over to Mokuba and reached my hand towards him but he hid behind Seto. Tears rolled down my face. I looked at Seto horror laced his expression. "Your eyes!" He exclaimed, "What kind of trickery is this!"
"My eyes?" I whimpered. He held up a small pocket mirror. My eyes were icy blue. I yelped again, and laid my head on my hands and crouched to the floor. Kaiba came to sit next to me, "Get up. Kaibas cannot be seen to be weak." This was his way of comforting me. "These lies and tricks are nothing but the light. Get a hold of yourself. As a top rank Duelist I expected more out of you. Stand up, be a Kaiba!"
Mokuba was crying, "Seto! Sophie is upset!" He wrapped his skinny arms around me.
Seto modded. "Sophie, I heard about the incident this morning, with Yugi and the Mutt." I expelled a short breath before standing to face him.
"And what Seto? You don't go there anymore, don't see why I have to fill your space. We're the same age, and you tell me to grow up? Get a grip Seto. We're going home."
We left the museum via the main entrance. I stood proud, trying to out rank my brother. Mr. Ego stood straight-backed, loving the attention.
We climbed into the limousine. Seto and Mokuba sat together and I used the seat opposite. I took out my phone and plugged in my headphones, I placed them in my ears and set the song to shuffle, the volume was low so I could hear the conversation. I pretended to play a game on my phone. "Mokuba, what do I do now?" he questioned him, trying to act normal,

"Involve her in organising a tournament for duel monsters, hmm." He stuck his tongue out. Seto looked at his youngest sibling,

"She's not good enough to be involved. My comment about being top tier was to get her to pull herself together." he did not even know I won a tournament? How long has he been ignoring my care for now? I thought. I was enraged and yanked the earphones out my ears barley missing my earring. "How much have you forgotten about me? Do you even know me? You're more like Gozaburo than you think."

"I AM NOT MY STEP FATHER!" He yelled. The limousine fell silent. It was broken my me;
"I do duel Seto. I've won tournaments when you were busy elsewhere. You've never challenged me. I've also collected rare cards, we're more alike than you think." I huffed as the limousine came to a halt.

The door opened and I forced my way out first shoving Seto out the way. I brushed down my jacket and strode to the garage. I had asked for a car when I had passed my driving lesson, but I was denied from using it. I typed in a code on the nine-digit keypad and the whir of machinery lifted the door. I heard two sets of footsteps behind me. I tugged the pale grey cover off the large low vehicle parked in the centre of the garage. It had been my birthday six months ago and my brother forgot about it. I revealed crimson red paint beneath the dust layered cover. I found the key on a hook on the sidewall. I heard Seto's voice near the entrance, it echoed around "What are you doing?" I did not answer and instead unlocked the car. When a hand gripped my shoulder and repeated the question did I then reply,

"I'm going out for a ride in my Porsche, so shove off daaaad." I whined sarcastically. I brushed off the hand and sat in the driver's seat. I turned on the engine and throaty growl was emitted. Rolling down the window I drove out the garage, "I'll be back soon." And with that I left them in a cloud of tyre smoke.
