Chapter 10 - Excuse Me.

Mikari had left me awhile ago and now I remained alone. I stalked the back corridors of the palace not wishing to bump into anyone. The quiet was good, it helped my head clear and rethink my options. I leaned heavily against the wall and closed my eyes.
A sense of unease drew across my body and the hairs on my neck crept upwards. I opened my eyes and stared into evil and hate. These brown eyes before me showed vengeance. I stepped backwards, slowly at first and then I slipped down a small sub corridor. I sprinted down it. In a few seconds reached the end. It was blocked and a red curtain hung a metre before the end. I whipped round and placed my back against the wall, flattening myself against it. I reached for my daggers only to find they where not there. I froze as the first hand wove its way inside my robes touching me. Groping my body. I was immobilised. I couldn't scream. The white hair grazed my face as he leaned over and sealed a kiss on my neck, biting my soft flesh. His second hand wove inside, snaking lower. He smiled and my body refused to move. A spell like trance made my body unresponsive. The voice from before sounded from his mouth, "Oh this will be fun..." He chuckled deeply. He hands made quick work of my robes, leaving me standing in all my glory. "Pity about the pure marriage they wanted..." He spoke as his particially clothed body pressed against my frozen one.
There was a shout from the end of the corridor. Joey tore open the curtain and aimed a spear at the attacker's head. He just chuckled and kissed my neck. "Until next time." He dashed inside the room door next to Joey and vanished. My body fell loose and I tumbled to the floor falling into the pile of my clothes. I looked up at Joey who was debating whether or not to help. I nodded and he took my hand, turning his gaze to the far end of the corridor as I relaid the garments over my body.

"Thank-You Joey." He let his brown eyes sweep to the floor. "Joey?" I questioned him.

"Nothin'." He stated balling up his fist. "Are ya' ok? Not hurt are ya'?" I looked down to the floor. I could still feel the hands gripping my olive skin. The bruises had begun to show, stinging my skin. I took composure and nodded.

"Perfectly fine." He shook his head and leaned over me,

"No, perfectly not fine." He signaled with his finger for me to follow him. I felt light headed, as the shock penetrated my veins my hands began to shake uncontrollably. Joey puzzled turned to look at me. "Are you ok?" My jaw began to clack my teeth together. I shook my head and fell forwards as my knees gave way. He caught me and I landed on his chest. "Whoever did this will pay." I smiled.

"Mutt please I can deal with this..." I mumbled, "I just forgot my weapons... Next time his blood will flow freely..." He shook his head.

"No. You shouldn't fight, your a girl." I let out a choked laugh,

"Oh I see how this is? You think your plan is pretty smart?" I shuffled away from him. "Saving me from that. I rather have him then you. You just want my hand in marriage to become pharaoh. That isn't going to happen." Still shaky on my legs I rose and stumbled away. One hand was firmly placed on the wall. Mikari's chamber door grew in size. I knocked three times and then entered.

Mikari sat on her wooden chair in the small open balcony she had turned her head to look at the door. She rose from her chair and gently guided me to her bed, "Wha' happened Soph?" I explained to her and she nodded, "So who was it?" Bile formed in the back of my throat,

"Thief King Bakura." Megan's hand tightened round my arm.

"Bu-But he's dead... Atem and Yami destroyed him with-" I snapped,

"It was him. I know who groped me." Her eyes opened wide.

"Be vigilant then." My hand touched the necklace around my neck,

"Who gave me this then?" Megan reached across and flipped it over looking at the small reed hieroglyph imprinted on the back.

"I know this mark, it's a small shop in the town... They'll know who bought it." I nodded,
