Sophie's POV

There was a flash of bright, white light. Then I was falling downwards until I slowed and my golden sandled feet gently touched the surface off wood, a nile barge. I looked up toward the raised platform where the captain stood, all the oars moved by themselves no one at before them, yet we glided smoothly. Upon the raised platform stood a man, on either side of the barge and behind there where walls of wood, and in the centre of the barge a large mast. The man's gaze turned to face me, he had eyes as golden as morning rays and he had strong defined features and dark eyebrows. Laid on his head was a headdress in the shape of a falcon, the beak of which rested between his eyes. Long dark grey feathers lay down the visible parts of the head dress with some white around the beak and eyes. The man was shirtless showing his full muscular tone and mid tone of skin, much like my own. He had two god bands around his upper arms and wrists also his ankles , each of which were decorated with what appeared to be sapphires. He wore a gold and white silk toga, with a belt of intricate gold coated in gems and beads, mainly in the colours of red, blue and green. He had a similar item around his neck. On the top of his headdress he wore the crown of the gods. This was Amun-Ra, god of all gods. I dropped down to one knee and bowed.

A deep chuckle resounded from the man, "Princess Sophie rise my child," I did as instructed and kept my eyes trained on the floor. "Now Princess, look at me." I looked at him and he chuckled again. "Come here, you want answers and you may have some, but first we need to get you dressed properly and find the others. You don't look how you're supposed to." I tentatively walked up the creaking stairs to his side. He had a wistful look in his eyes, and before I could react he had taken my hand and I was moving again.

The time seemed like a blink of one's eye. I was speechless as the sight that beheld my mortal eye, the realm of the gods. Twisting pillars and stone monuments, gardens of perfect exotic flowers, perfectly clear water in streams and fountains. White walls and gems that shone with a thousand suns. He led me up some marble steps to the raised pavillion of a large complex, the palace. He snapped his fingers and my attirement went from being runaway princess to goddess of the high heavens.

I wore a white shoulderless ensemble with two coal grey streams from a buckle at the centre of the bosom. A golden fabric hung straight down from my waist embroidered with a scarab and other royal symbols representing both wealth and power.

A large bead, collar necklace hung round my neck and over my collar bones, a scarab again sat in the centre along with typical Egyptian colours of turquoise, green, red, yellow, orange and red. The piece was quite striking, although it did draw attention to my large breast area, and for that I wasn't to keen on the item.

A pair of golden sandles sat perfectly under my feet, crafted to my foot's every groove and rise.

My hair hung natural around around my face, the dark locks holding faint waves. My millennium crown sat proudly on my head, glinting with hidden power. Ra let out a chuckle, "Well you are a stunner..." another Goddess had joined us she was tall and had a deep red skirt on decorated by beads of lighter colours, on her top half she had thin silk over each breast delicated draped in chains and yet more beads. Her hair was traditional braided with beads woven between the black strands. Her lips were cherry red and the kohl lined to eyes perfectly. She smiled and looked affectionately at Ra, her skin was a semi-tone darker than his. "Ah Sophie, meet Hathor, my sister and wife." I was used to the incest of the royal families but still to me the thought was cringe worthy.

I placed a fake smile upon my lips, Ra spoke again, "Do you know why you're here my child?" I shook my head and Hathor gently placed a hand on my shoulder. She spoke with a wistful voice, "Sophie you're here about your heritage, and future." A little a taken back a hand touched my back. Startled I turned to face a girl, Ra spoke, "This is Ma'at one of my daughters."

Ma'at was the goddess of truth, justice, balance, order, law and morality. Her body was nearly naked with feathers and chains covering her chest, she wore a short olive skirt-robe and her arms had rainbow wings attached by intricate cuffs. She smiled and flicked her long black hair over her right shoulder. She had striking dark blue eyes. "Hello Sophie, I am Ma'at." She spoke with wisdom beyond her visible age. "I'm here to tell you the truth and only the truth." I nodded feebly. "I need your hand." shaking with anticipation she grasped my hand and her eyes changed to shade of ice blue before everything faded slowly.

Mikari's POV

I awoke in a chamber much like the one I had left, except this had beyond perfect edges and colours that could not be achieved by our painters. Eden lay on the floor next to me, her strange red, curly hair touching my hand. She had pale skin, and just from the sunburn on her nose I knew she wasn't originally from Egypt. She began to slowly stir. She had emerald green eyes and she locked them with my own. "Mi-mi-Mikari? Where are we?" I shook my head, blonde hair flying everywhere. "I have no idea." Something gold glinted from her pouch. Carefully reaching forward, I tried to touch the object but Eden moved faster than the devourer for an evil heart. She cradled the item close to her chest. "This is mine Mikari, mine." She drew the item out and placed the half facial mask on, it was golden and held an eye in the centre of the forehead. "My millennium mask. My power." I took a step back, another item? Apparently so, and the mask had a power not even I knew of.

Unknown POV

There were footsteps, military footsteps. I took a step back into the shadows. This maybe the realm of the Gods, but not even I am safe against my own kind. I took a singular step out of the alcove and scaled the wall opposite, running across the flat roofs to the palace walls. Using all my skill the flat walls were left behind in a matter of minutes. It was daytime, and the only hiding spot was from behind a lonely hedgerow. Using this hiding area I watched the girl and the high gods converse. The girl was beautiful for a mortal. I ran a hand through my dark brown hair, I needed to speak to her before she made a bad choice.
