"Who do you think you are?! Don't fucking call me again!"

Rose looked ready to pull out her hair as she slammed her phone down onto her desk.

"Should a PA be talking that way?"

Rose pinned gene down with glare as he entered her office. Ignoring his mocking comment, rose said irritably. "What took you so long? Your audition ended an hour ago. Didn't I say to come straight to me when it was over?"

Gene raised his hands in defense when he encountered such a fierce glare. He sat down in the leather chair positioned across from rose's desk and said languidly.  "Rose, I just went to have lunch. Please don't look at me that way."

As a PA to the big boss, Rose had the privilege of having her own personal office. It was modern in style with straight lines and neutral colors, and very minimalistic in taste. She had a flat screen Television on the wall opposite her desk, a corner dedicated to an espresso machine and a small potted cactus as decoration placed on her desk.

Most people can easily tell by taking one look at Rose's office that she was a lady who required very little belongings and one who relied heavily on modern technology.

Rose took a minute to fully collect herself before straightening in her chair and saying. "Yes, forgive me. I was just feeling a little stressed."

Gene didn't point out that she appeared more than just a little stressed nor did he ask the reason why but Rose ended up saying so anyway. She sighed and rubbed at her creased forehead.

"The divorce papers with my husband are taking too long to be finalized."

Hearing this, gene looked surprise and his tone of voice clearly showed it. "You were married?"

Rose chuckled humorlessly. "Yes, for ten years."

"If you don't mind me asking, but how old are you?"

Rose looked at Gene oddly. "38 years old...why?"

Gene almost laughed silly when he heard her answer. He said in amazement. "Why.. Have you never looked in the mirror?"

Still not getting his meaning, Rose answered warily. "Of course I have but I don't see what that has got to do with having been married for ten years to a douche bag."

Gene mumbled to himself and shook his head.

"Right. Its nothing."

He felt it'll be pointless telling this lady she only looked 26 years old let alone 38 years old. She was older than gene in this life and his past life, and he didn't know how to feel about that. It left him feeling rather conflicted.

"So why did you want to see me right after the auditions?" Gene asked to steer his mind from his wandering thoughts.

Rose was a straight to the point kind of woman and Gene liked that about her the most, because he was a straight to the point kind of man. Why beat around the bush? Why not go straight through it?

Rose pulled out a manila folder from her top drawer and slid it across her desk towards gene. She tapped the folder with her red manicured fingernail and said seriously, "I wanted you to see this."

Feeling both curious and suspicious at heart, gene took the folder in his hands and slowly thumbed it open. What he saw within made his heart race and he looked up in shock to find rose watching him like she had expected this sort of reaction.

Gene demanded. "Who took these?"

"A private investigator."
