This was a dirty way of insuring oneself but gene knew it was also the most effective way without getting your hands too dirty, so he wouldn't look down on this woman. In fact, if he were in her position and had no other option what-so-ever, he'd probably do the same thing. The world isn't all a pretty place and you'll have to be foolish to think it is.

Gene was a little angry at her for using these photographs against him but most of his anger was pointed towards Cia's brother - the one who hired the investigator.

He doubts this brother stopped watching him just because he was in a car accident. If anything, this brother is probably watching him even more closely now and that doesn't sit well in genes heart.

Maybe the real Cia would've been happy knowing his brother still watches over him and hadn't completely forgotten about him, but gene felt no happiness at all. If anything, he felt he could do without this brother completely.

"My brother?"

"Yes." Rose said. "I understand you don't remember anything from the past, so I won't ask for the impossible-"

Genes eyebrows twitched but he made no comment.

"-but, I'm sure this will be an easy request for you. All I want you to do is put me in contact with your brother. That is all I will ask of you."

"What about these photographs?"

"I'll erase every trace of them. You'll have my word."

Gene stared at the proud woman seated across from him. "How can I trust your word?"

Rose suddenly smiled, "You'll just have too."

A vague answer but gene didn't push for more. Instead, he thought over everything the two had talked about in the past half hour and came to only one conclusion - did he even have a choice?

The main reason he became an Idol was to get closer to his son. But with these photographs that are causing him a headache just thinking about and the rumor that he had slept with the big boss already hanging over his head, he knew he couldn't take any chances of letting these leak out. He doesn't care what others would think if they saw this but he does worry about how his son will see this when he’s barely made a step in that direction.

Sighing, gene stood up and walked over to the office door, pulling it wide open. Rose watched him with her cold eyes and her body stiffening in her chair.

But just as he was about to leave, Gene said.

"My brother and I aren't on the best of terms, so don't expect too much."

Not waiting for a response, gene stepped out of the room and left. He didn't see how his last words relieved the woman into a long sigh.

When gene left TEN enterprise, instead of going straight home, he caught a taxi downtown to a bar he use to frequent when alive as Gene Moon.

He needed to release some of the stress that has well and truly hit the boiling point, and he thought there was no better place.

He entered Bar 102 a little past 7pm, which is around their opening hours. He hadn't realised he had stayed inside doing auditions and chatting for nearly the whole day until he had seen how dark it was becoming outside.

Gene took a seat at the edge of the bar instead of taking up a booth. When recalling his last experience in a booth, this time he'll pass. He then called over a bartender to order a gin and tonic.

While he sat waiting for his drink, gene glanced down along the bar where he had seen a lady who had caught his interest the moment he stepped inside.

Many customers wouldn't arrive until later hours considering they were probably working still so it wasn't a surprise the place was on the empty side. But that was fine with gene because it gave him time to think before he made a move.

Tonight, he will definitely make a move and his target was the pretty woman seated at the other end of the bar. She was a pretty brunette with long legs and a nice figure. She looked like she'd fit well with cias body and she looked around the same age.

Once his drink arrived, gene signalled the bartender closer and slipped him some money, telling him to order the lady another drink. The bartender smiled knowingly as he slipped the money into a pocket and did as he was asked.

When he arrived in front of the woman with a drink, he pointed towards gene who was looking their way.

And not long after, gene heard a woman ask, "Is this seat empty?"

Gene gestured for the woman to sit, wearing an amicable smile. He then held out a hand and clasped the lady's delicate form.

"I'm Cia."

"Sharon."

The next hour gene spent getting to know sharon. He wasn't really paying attention as his mind was on other things. He only gave the resemblance that he was listening as she prattled on about work.

The bar had well and truly filled up within that time, and now there were patrons seated everywhere. Gene had been approached more than once by other woman who could make sharon run for her money but he had already set his sights on a lady and so he kindly rejected them all. The lady herself was blushing like a maiden when she heard how determined gene was to see it out to the end with her.

Time quickly passed and soon gene could handle no more. He realised a little too late that Cia was a light weight and was finding it hard to focus his attention one thing at a time.

"Let's go somewhere else." Sharon suddenly whispered into his ear.

The sound tickled its way throughout his body. Gene suddenly went on full alert and a wide grin spread across his face. Not wanting to waste anymore time, he stood up and helped the lady off her own seat. Even though he was feeling tipsy, he was still able to move at his own will.

Gene led the young lady outside into the cool night. People were still walking around on the streets as if it were daytime and many shops were still open for business, which is nothing less to expect of a big and bustling city.

While waiting for a called taxi, gene turned to sharon and said smilingly.

"Let's go to-"

But gene's words stopped short and his smile stiffened when he caught a flash from behind sharon's back, coming from within a nearby black subaru. When sharon asked what was wrong and turned to look, gene quickly and smoothly intercepted her, saying.

"It's nothing."

Forcing a smile, he gently but firmly guided the woman to the taxi that had finally pulled up.

"Let's go."

Gene wasn't mistaken.

He was more than sure that he saw someone taking their photo and he came up with only one reason as to why that will be.

Genes eyes flashed darkly as he led the lady into the taxi and gave the driver the address to his home.

Before getting in himself, gene glanced back at the car and thought about how he hadn't realised he has probably been tailed these past days. He bets that if it were in his past life, he'd have noticed already but...well, he really hadn't noticed a thing until rose had pointed it out.

Maybe it is a coincidence? Soon he'll see whether it is or not.
