When gene took sharon back to his home, the young lady had already been shocked by the location, only to be rendered speechless when she saw the inside of his home.
Her mouth dropped open and her eyes widened while she was led through the front door.
"Y-you live here?"
Gene smiled nonchalantly as he flicked on some lights, leading the lady into the area he frequents the most. He didn't reply and walked into the kitchen to brew some coffee.
The mood to release his stress had been long lost when he saw the black subaru follow him all the way home. When they entered the building, he happened to glance back and catch two heads within the car's interior before they left somewhere down the road. But having seen this succeeded in completely sobering him up as well. As for sharon, she appeared sober the moment they exited the taxi.
"Coffee?"
Sharon came back to reality when gene asked this and she bobbed her head.
Regaining her calm, the young lady took a seat at the counter gene gestured towards after she straightened herself out. She had sensed earlier that the mood had shifted and though a little disappointed, she didn't mind it as much.
With nothing better to do, sharon watched quietly as gene made coffee in silence, concentrating fully on the task at hand. She rested her chin on one hand and admired how in that moment gene appeared like a completely different man from the one who picked her up in the bar. If anything, he excluded a mature yet soothing air about himself, successfully pulling sharon into wanting to know more.
Unable to hold back, sharon found herself asking. "I don't know if I asked you this earlier, but you seem familiar. Have we met before?"
That thought had been bugging her ever since she first lay eyes on gene. But if she had really met him before, then how could she forget such a pretty face? He is hands down the most good looking man she has ever been hit on, and to forget such a pretty face is the reason why she doubts they ever met before this night. So then where?
Sharon's curiosity was answered when gene said. "Television maybe? I have appeared on Rise to fame."
Sharon looked shocked. "Rise to fame? Are you an...idol?"
Now that she looked at him, he did look like idol material. At first, she thought he had to be a model at least.
Gene chuckled as he slowly poured two cups of coffee. "I am, though I'm not very reputable. Sugar?"
Sharon shook her numb head and mumbled. "To think I'll be sitting with an idol..."
"What is that?" Gene asked but sharon quickly shook her head and smiled.
"Nothing. Two sugars and no milk please."
Gene left his coffee strong and placed one sweetened cup in front of the lady who was staring at him like he were a diamond ring. Gene chuckled and leant across the counter with his cup cradled between his hands, bringing their two faces closer.
"What?" He asked, amused by the way this girl stared unabashedly at him.
Sharon blinked. "Has anyone ever told you how pretty you look?"
"No."
The real Cia was probably told this countless of times but gene had even been cia for a month, so it was the truth. In his past life, he had been told he was handsome, manly or both but never pretty.
Sharon continued staring unabashedly at gene, until the man said in a deep voice. "Your drink is going to go cold."
Flushed from embarrassment, Sharon quickly looked away, picked up her drink and took a few sips. To her dread, it had already turned cold thus resulting in her face turning a shade darker.
