Family Ties

The Job

It's been a month since Lucy sent Makarov her video just to show that she is alive and well.

"GUHHH..... I hate morning. Why couldn't you be a night baby." Lucy complained to her growing baby bump. So she got up and looked at the clock next to her bed '0530' she didn't have to be at work till 0700 so to say she was more then a little angry. "Morning sleepy head. I thought you didn't have to work till seven today?" Jackson questioned as he got Lucy some coffee. "Yeah I don't but this little monster decided that I should wake up at this unholy hour of morning." Lucy said taking the coffee and food off of Jacksons plate. "Alright also I heard from Makarov he wants me for an urgent job so I'll be gone for a few days." Jackson said as he got a new plate of food. "Ok just be careful." Lucy said after that they both sat in silence the rest of breakfast. As they were heading into town they both stopped infront of 'Metal 0-1 Bar and Grill'. "So I'll see you in a few days please be careful." Lucy said as she hugged her brother. "Lucy come on whats the worst that could happen. But if it makes you feel any better I'll call you later when I have more information about the job ok." Jackson said as Lucy let him go. She just shook her head at him as he waved to her as he made his way to the train station.

Magnolia

"Guess it's time to dawn my disguise (Media)." Jackson said to himself as he put his hood up and walked off the train headed for Fairy Tail. About ten minutes down the road Jackson saw the old guild hall and heard the usual rowdiness. "I guess somethings don't change." Jackson said as he pushed open the doors. As he was walking the whole hall went quiet. "I'm here to speak with your master. Where is he?" Jackson said as the guild looked at him. "Why should we tell you anything." A certain pink headed man said as he held another man by his shirt with his other fist ready to punch him. "He requested me to come here so answer my question." Jackson demanded as he was being surrounded by his old guild mates. "Usually it is a common courtesy to at least say what your name is and what your real business is." A red headed armored person said as she raised a sword towards Jacksons throat. When she raised her sword he upholstered his sidearm and drew his knife. "If you want a fight I will be more than happy to oblige." Jackson said as he brought the knife into contact with the sword and raised his sidearm towards the pink headed one. "ENOUGH! Everyone take a chill pill. Erza put away your sword and you put away your gun and knife then come to my office." Makarov shouted so everyone could here him and then he walked back into his office.

Makarovs office

"I see you made it Jackson. Thank you again for excepting my request." Makarov said as he shook Jacksons hand. "How could I say 'no'. For starters your my old master and second this job pays alot. I mean come on half a million jewel." Jackson said as he looked at the job request. 'Strong wizards needed. More information when destination is reached.' "Yes I also thought that this would help especial since Lucy cant really go on jobs like she used to. And I'm also sending team Natsu with you. And before you object. They are going and you will be getting the bigger portion of the reward at the end." Makarov said as Jackson tried to object but quickly shut his mouth. *Timeskip* "Gramps what do you need and what is he doing here?" Natsu asked as his team walked into the masters office. Makarov explained the mission to them and told them that Jackson was going to be in charge. "Master why did you bring in this guy we could do this job no problem." Gray said as he looked at Jackson who was just sitting in the back waiting for the debrief to be over. "Maybe because he wants the job to get done with minimum amount of damage to the rest of the town. But you know could be anything." Jackson said as he looked at the mages that sat in front of him. Who now had scowls on there faces. "You all leave tomorrow so get your gear ready and be at the train station at 0800 first thing in the morning." Makarov said so they wouldn't start a fight in his office. Once they left Makarov asked Jackson why he antagonized them and his reply was because they hurt his sister and he just left on that final note to go find a hotel for the night so he could get some much needed sleep for the "awesome day" he was going to have the next day.
