It's happening

It's been a week since Jackson completed the job and now he is crutching around the house. "I guess it's time I get started on that side venture. What do you think Max?" Jackson said as he put on his one boot. Max just sat there looking at him waiting to go to town. The weather was changing from Summer to early Fall there were leaves on the ground so when Jackson went down the path the only thing that you could hear was the crunch of leaves and the sound of a "Dog" barking. When they got to town they went to the mayors office. "Mr. Mayor I would like to talk to you about buying a building just before the woods." He said as he sat down in one of the chairs. "Sure thing Jackson I'll just need to know what its for." The mayor said putting away some other paper work and grabbing some more to give him the deed to the building.

After all was said and done Jackson went to the store to get the supplies he would need for his new business. *Time skip* After he got what he needed and dropped it off it was getting late so he went back to the house. By the time he got there Lucy was sitting on the porch waiting for him. "So I see that you've been busy today. Do anything exciting?" Jackson just sat down on the steps. "Not really just thought I would do a little business. See for yourself." He said as he pulled out the deed to the old Blacksmiths on the edge of town. "Wait you know how to Blacksmith?" Lucy asked as she looked at the rest of the paperwork he pulled out. "That and Carpentry. So It's going to be a Blacksmith/Carpentry store. I won't be opening up shop till I get the place set up." Jackson said as he put away the paper work and got up to go inside. When they were inside Lucy made them dinner as they ate Jackson talked about what his plan was going to be. "so what are you going to name the place?" Lucy asked him which just caused him to stop eating both the dogs stopped eating to like they actually cared what the place was going to be called. "I've been thinking about calling it 'Hearts Smiths and Carpenter' what do you think? It uses part of our name and still has what I'm selling in the name." Jackson said as he pulled out a picture of the design it was a heart for the background and metal for the words. "I think this is going to be a great thing. I think your business is going to help a lot of people." Lucy said as they went back to eating.

Three weeks later

By the time Jackson got set up he had two jobs already one was to build a chair and table and the other was for himself. His project was to help him and it was a surprise for later and he was just putting the finishing touches on it. *Skip to Metal 0-1 diner* By the time the lunch rush was nearly over Lucy was finishing up her shift for the day. She was out back getting ready to leave when Jackson walked in. "Hey Jackson what can we do for you today?" Carl asked as he looked up briefly from his cash register. But before he could answer Lucy walked out and dropped her stuff and all but tackled Jackson. "Oh my God! Your walking but how?" She said as they both sat on the floor as people looked at them. "You know that project I told you about. Well it was for me and now I have a metal foot." Jackson said as he lifted up his pant leg.

Months down the road

First he had to get used to the fake leg and the guys who dropped him off in town brought his Humvee to him. It has been months since that day Jackson could once again walk. Since he opened most of the town had ordered one thing or another from Jackson. Lucy had been working less at the diner since she was pregnant. But on this night after a long day at work Lucy and Jethro got home very late. "I see Jacksons not home yet guess he's working on another project that the persons picking up soon." Just as soon as Lucy sat down she felt a sharp pain and looked down to see water running down her leg. "Of course you choose now to start coming out didn't you." Lucy said just as Jackson came in the door. "I'm home. Sorry I'm late the roads are awful and I had to finish up on a- Whats wrong!?" Jackson asked after he saw Lucy standing there holding her stomach. "Baby coming. Hospital now!"Lucy said threw her teeth. So Jackson grabbed the bags that they had packed just for this time. As they rushed out the door (not including the dogs) Jackson threw the bags in the back of the Humvee as Lucy got in the front. As he shut the trunk and ran back to his door he slipped on ice and slid into the front porch.

Car Ride/Hospital

As Jackson sped down the road he would occasionally hit a patch of ice and slide for a few seconds. "Sorry about that. Once were around this corner it should be just a straight shot to the hospital. How are you doing?" Jackson said as the turned the corner he could see the big 'H'. "Need doctor now!" Lucy said as she shook Jackson's arm. After a few more minutes of driving they pulled up to the front door. "We need help!" Jackson shouted as they walked in the door. A nurse ran up to them with a wheel chair. "Don't worry we'll get you in right away I just need a name."

"Her name is Lucy Heartfilia. Mine is Jackson Heartfilia I'm her older brother." Jackson said as the nurse wrote down the information as she showed them to a room while Jackson rolled Lucy into the room. "I'll get doctor Camden." The Nurse said as she left the two in the room. Just as the doctor came in Lucy had another contraction. "How far apart are the contraction Miss. Heartfilia?" Doctor Camden asked as he looked over her paperwork. "I'd say one every five ten minutes." Jackson said as Lucy crushed the side of the bed. As Camden wrote it down Lucy let out a yelp of pain. "Well if they keep up like this you'll have that baby in no time." Camden said as he checked Lucy's vital signs. *Skip to later that evening*

"Okay Miss. Heartfilia I'm going to need you to push." Camden said as he looked under Lucy's hospital gown. "Jackson I'm scared." Lucy said as she pushed. "Your doing fine. I'm with you one hundred percent of the way." He said sitting next to her. "Can I hold your hand please." She asked as she scrunched her face in pain. "Sure. It's the least I can-AWWWWW!" Jackson then regretted his decision when Lucy crushed the bones in his hand. A few minutes after that little incident the only thing that could be heard in that room was the sounds of small cry's. The nurse wrapped up the little baby and handed it to Lucy. "Congratulations Miss. Heartfilia it's a health baby girl." Just as she said that the baby looked up at its mother.

"Shes adorable Lucy. What are you going to name her?" Jackson asked as the doctor reset the bones in his hand and then put a cast on it. "Her name is going to be Nashi. Nashi Hearfilia." Lucy said looking at her pink haired and brown eyed baby. "Do you want to hold her." Jackson just shook his head as Lucy handed him the baby. "Nashi it is then. Hey there Mishka I'm your uncle." Jackson said looking at the baby as Lucy looked at him. "Mishka? What does that mean?" Jackson just smiled. "It means bear cub in Russian." Jackson said as he gave Lucy back Nashi. Lucy just smiled at her brother as Nashi fell asleep so she did the same. "And I'll do anything and everything to keep the two of you safe." Jackson said as he sat in a chair in the corner. *Days later* "Come on Jackson I want to get home." Lucy whined as he drove up the road to their home.

House

"Okay now we just hope the dogs are chill enough for a baby to be around them." Jackson said as he helped Lucy to the door. As he opened the door he was greeted by being tackled by Jethro and a little bigger Max. "Boys down. Down we brought someone with us." Lucy said as Jackson tried to get up. The dogs looked at her and then the baby. Lucy walked inside with both dogs close on her heals. As she sat down both Max and Jethro sat in front of her as she unwrapped Nashi's face. Both of them looked at the baby as she reached her small hand out and brushed Max's nose. Max sat there and just licked her hand. "I guess Max is okay with her." Lucy said as Jethro walked away and laid down on the other side of the room. "Oh you big baby." Jackson said as he sat next to Lucy and Max. *Few hours later* As Lucy was changing Nashi's diaper Jethro came over and plopped himself right next to Nashi. "Oh I see how it is. Your doing what you did with me." Lucy said as Jethro just sat there as Nashi pulled on his ears and neck. Jackson came back with Max right behind him to see Jethro laying down. "You are a big softy you know that right buddy?" Jackson said to Jethro as Lucy picked up Nashi and Jethro followed her to the rocking chair and sat at her feet.
