Family Ties

All good things come to an end

After they had their little party the family had all been out cold till the sun came threw the curtains. The first awake was Morgan. She looked at the rest of the room to see Nashi, Lucy and Natsu half sprawled out on the floor and on a couch. She then turned and saw Jackson and Cana on the other couch. "Good morning, that was one crazy party." Morgan turned to see Gildarts sitting at the table eating food leftover from the night before. She got up and went to the table and sat with him. "Yeah it was a great party though." She said as she took a piece of pizza out of a box. The two sat and waited for the others to wake up which didn't take to long after a certain four legged animal pulled the curtains. "THE LIGHT IT BURNS!!" Jackson yelled as he covered his eyes and jumped behind the couch. This woke the others up.

After that Jackson and Natsu got into a fight which was short lived because they both had wicked hangovers because Gildarts all but forced drinks down their throats. "Nashi never drink!" Natsu said/commanded as he held his head. Jackson just nodded his head in agreement. "GOD it feels like someone is playing bongos in my head." Jackson said as Gildarts handed him coffee and Advil. "You both deserved this. I mean you drank more than Cana does or did." Lucy said looking at her future husband and her brother suffering while the kids laughed.

*LATER*

The group was standing on the train platform waving to Gildarts as his train pulled away. After the train was out of sight the group left back to the hotel. "Lets go to the beach I heard of  some places we can explore." Jackson said as they went to their rooms. They all got changed and followed Jackson it took them through the jungle, over a river, and some how a desert after a hours of walking they stopped in a clearing. "So the people you heard this from did they also happen to be wearing tinfoil hats saying 'watch out for the aliens'." Lucy and Cana said as they sat down. "No but they were saying the alien part." Jackson said as he moved some branches to see their hotel in the distance and the beach they were looking for. "So good news found the beach bad news we did all that walking for nothing." Jackson said as he moved the branches for the rest of them to see. Morgan and Nashi both fell over Lucy facepalmed while Cana yelled at him but she was interrupted by Natsu punching Jackson into the ocean.

After the long unneeded trek they set their towels up int the "cave". "Well it wasn't totally bad I love the view." Cana said as they looked out into the surf. Natsu was trying to surf on a wave. Lucy was reading a book while Jackson was putting up an umbrella. They spent the afternoon swimming and playing volleyball. By the time it was sun down they had been out in the sun for hours. "So lets head back I cant really feel anything anymore." Natsu said as he sat on towel and this was when everyone realized that Natsus skin was as red as Erza's hair. They dragged Natsu back to the hotel and threw him into a pile of ice. All you could hear was screams. Jackson was with Lucy outside while Cana sat inside with the children. "So I need to ask a favor. Could you watch Morgan tomorrow night so I can take Cana out?" Jackson asked as he shoveled more ice into a pool that Natsu was still screaming in. "Sure your turn for a date night." Lucy said as she got up and switched places with Jackson.

The next day Lucy and Cana went and got all fancy. She got her hair done and got a new dress. "Your right Lucy this was alot of fun but I still don't understand why... we... did... this." Cana started but as they came back they found Jackson standing outside waiting for Cana. Jackson walked up to them and gave Cana flowers. "You look beautiful today." Jackson said as he led Cana towards town. Cana looked back to see Lucy smiling and waving to the couple just as they were out of sight Lucy went to go take care of Natsu.

As Cana and Jackson walked to a park Jackson led her to a big tree as they walked around it Cana found a table with candles and everything. "Oh Jackson this is so thoughtful." Cana said as he pulled her chair out. He sat down and lifted the lid of their meal. As they were eating a band came out from behind a bush and played for them. "You even got a band?" Cana asked to which Jackson looked at her. "I did not. I have no idea who these guys are." Jackson said as they both looked at the band. Jackson got up and walked back through the bush to see Morgan and Nashi. "Are we in trouble?" Nashi asked as she looked at her uncle. He looked at the two and saw a couple of pictures of them. "You two aren't in trouble from me but your mother is going to be pissed if you snuck out." Jackson said as he picked up a picture of him and Cana at the table just before the band showed up and put it in his pocket. "Oh no we didn't sneak out she sent us." Morgan said as Jackson went back to Cana. The rest of the evening went by with nothing happening.

Once they got back Jackson had a talk with Lucy about boundaries. "You have no room to talk you followed us around." Lucy said pointing to her and Natsu who was now in a tub of ice. Jackson just nodded his head in agreement. "Fair enough we are probably the worst/best brother/sister ever." Jackson said as he went to bed. The next morning everyone went and did their own thing. The day after that they all boarded a train and went back to Magnolia. After the long ride they went to the guild. "Welcome home you guys. How was vacation?" Mira asked the adults Morgan and Nashi ran off to hang out with their friends. They sat at the bar that's when Mira noticed the ring on Lucy's finger and all but shouted it to the guild. "I have something for this." Mira said as she pushed a button under the counter as a sign fell down. Old deflated balloons followed it. "I had this set up for a while..... Don't judge me!" Mira said as Jackson picked up a balloon and looked at her. After she yelled not to judge her he raised his hands in surrender.
