Love is the reason we see smiles, golden voices, harmonious dances
To the thumping music, taking life's one chance
Love is the reason we joyfully wake up
No matter what life hopelessly throws at us
Love is the reason we breathtakingly hold on and
desperately try to be strong
Love is the reason we break wars, lovingly feed the hungry; cease the fire
Yet
Love is the reason we sometimes give up
Our minds fixed and arbitrary decisions made
Love is the reason some sadly let go of dreams that were once so vivid and utterly strong
Love is the reason some choose to put a stop
To find that peace they know is long far gone
