The drive to the first house felt like forever but in reality it only took five minutes. We pull up to a woman with a red pantsuit and blinding red lipstick. She smiles as she sees us get out. "So you're the couple I am meeting." She says thru her teeth. "Yes we are." Braylen says. He's clearly already better at this stuff than me. We follow behind her as we enter the house. The house is nice immediately as we enter. I know in my mind we can do better. I want my first house to be memorable it is where I'm going to raise my child with my husband. That word sounds weird as I say it in my mind. He will be my husband just not yet. "Do you like it." The realtor says in a repeated tone. "It's nice." I say. "Alright next selection." Braylen says. It's scary he knows me that well. "But this is-." The realtor says. "Listen my bride would like to see another home is that an issue?" Braylen says. "No not at all the other house you chose is actually 5 minutes from here." She says. "Lead the way." Braylen says. We make our way to the next house and when we pull in I already know it's the one. Beautiful white decks all around it's a white house with red shutters and flowers all over to match. "Let me go in first just to make sure everything is safe i'll have the realtor wave you in when I'm done checking." He says. I question it a little but I listen to him. After about ten minutes I see the realtor wave so I get out. When I enter the house it's only lit with candles all over. I reach the living room and see rose petals that spell out "Ellis Will You Marry Me?" And see Braylen on his knees and mom and sis next to each other smiling with joy. "Ellis I know we've only been together for a short time but you're the most beautiful women I've ever met, your eyes shine brighter than the night sky, and you are carrying my child Will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me?" He asks. "YES YES YES!" I scream jumping up and down. He puts the ring on my finger and meets with my eyes and kisses me. "I knew you'd want this house so I planned all this for this exact house." He says. "You did well." I say. In that moment I truly believe I was the happiest woman alive.
