The past few weeks have flown by, I put a stop to dodging Braylen but it dawned on me that today was the day I would have to break it to him if it was true.
I get up early and go to the drug store next door to buy a test. I get it and wrap it up tightly in the plastic bag. Once I get back in my apartment I sit on my toilet and try to relax. Once I feel the stream I stick the test down there. After 5 seconds I pull it up and set it flatly on the sink. 3 minutes is a long time when you're seeing if your life is ending in that time frame.
Finally the moment of truth I turn and open my eyes and see a big fat....... NEGATIVE. I throw the test in the garbage and jump up and down. I can finally give my whole heart to Braylen, I won't be letting him down, or anyone now for that matter. I call him right away.
"Hi baby." I say.
"Hi princess are you in the mood for me to come over?" He asks.
"I'm always in the mood for you." I say.
"Be over in ten." He says.
He was true to time. After the ten minutes were over I heard a knock on the door. I open it and see his chiseled face.
"Hi princess." He says.
"Hi prince."
He comes in and kisses me on the forehead.
" I got a surprise for you." He says.
"What is it?"
" I got you a necklace, just something special for you to wear." He says.
He hands me a small Tiffany's box.
"It's beautiful." I say.
"Not as beautiful as you but check our the back."
I turn it over and see 'Happy Four Months' engraved into the heart locket.
"Oh my gosh, happy four months because that's what we told my mom on our first "date" and it's been one month since then?
"Yeah, it's a little inside joke between you and I."
He takes it out and motions me to lift up my hair so he can put it on me. I watch as the necklace lays across my chest as he fastens the back.
He wraps his arms around my waist and spins me around into a kiss.
"You have no idea how much I love this gift!" I exclaim.
"I'm glad you like it baby." He says.
"You're the best, you know that?" I ask.
"I try to be, I'm just glad I finally could tell you how I feel." He says.
"I am to, I never thought a guy like you would go for a girl like me."
"It's the other way around for me, I never thought a girl like you would go for a guy like me." He says.
I rest my hands on his cheeks while he continues to talk and I kiss his lips while they are still moving.
"Nice way to shut me up." He says.
I chuckle at his sarcastic comment.
