Everything after that was a blur. The doctors say I was in a coma for a month. They delivered my baby in an emergency c-section the night of the shooting.
My sister was found in the garbage, her body cut into pieces. I missed the funeral. She was cremated because the body damage was too horrific.
When I woke up I got to see my baby for the first time. Braylen held her so tight in his arms it even made me feel safe. He named her Elle Lynn.
I have no idea how I'm going to makeup for this lost time,
Missing my sisters funeral, my delivery, my babies first days of life. I left Braylen to pick up all the pieces.
This was a tragic experience for me and now I know the beauty of life as it is and I'll never forget.
