"How the hell did you get here?"
"Michael I explained you a million fucking times I walked"
"I don't believe you. You're all beaten up there is no way you walked all the way here on your own." Calum interrupts. His voice stronger than ever.
"I don't give a shit if you believe it or not. I kept my mouth shut, I saved all your asses, I could be dead by now, do you really think I care about your insinuations? Leave me alone, Calum."
"He's right." Ashton defends Luke without thinking twice. Looks like Ashton isn't the only one who can be a bitch from time to time.
For the last hour and a half Luke had been questioned over and over again. No matter how much I insisted, they wouldn't leave him alone. They wouldn't even listen to me. I am the one their worst enemy - who, coincidentally, turned out to be a Deadshot wannabe - is chasing and all I could think about was making Luke as comfortable as possible so he could recover fast.
"You need to leave him alone. He lost a lot of blood he needs to rest."
"He is clearly fine don't interrupt Chloe, you're in too deep already."
"Hey!" Luke steps up and interrupts Calum. "Don't talk to her like that."
"How can you still defend her? This is all her fucking fault, she is why this is all happening. If only we -or you- had never seen her in that club you wouldn't have broken the truce."
Absolute silence filled up the room for about 5 seconds.
To me it seemed like 5 years.
After that all I could hear was everyone's sigh and all I could see was their faces looking down at the floor.
No one let out a single word. Not even Luke.
"I didn't mean for this to happ-"
"But you did." Calum lets out coldly once again, like he was ready to spit on my face.
"You know what, Calum?" I get up and take my jacket and cigarettes with me. "I don't need you accusations right now. I've been doing my best. If it isn't enough, kick me out of the house." I start making my way to the balcony.
"I would, but you brain washed your little boyfriend."
"Watch your fucking mouth!" Luke finally speaks up to defend me, even though I think he's more worried about the fact that Calum thinks we're dating, rather then how much his words hurt me.
I don't do insults. I don't play mind games or make insinuations about people I barely know. But I understand Calum's point. He was right. I didn't brain wash Luke - it actually was more the other way around - but the truth is everything started crumbling down when I popped into their lives out of nowhere. Some of them told Luke to get rid of me on day one. To them I should be long gone and I understand why.
What I don't understand was why Calum felt the need to blame it on someone right now. Right this second. Luke could've been dead by now. They should be happy and focus on him and on what we can do about Tobias, because putting the blame on someone won't heal the wounds.
With that I decided to take my pack of cigarettes and go outside to the balcony. I had had enough of hearing Calum's complaints.Luke's POV
"Watch your fucking mouth!" Calum had crossed the line with Chloe. "We are not dating, Calum and even if we were it's none of your business."
"It is if it gets me fucking killed!"
"No one is gonna get killed!"
"For God's sake Calum why are we even trying to put the blame on her? The damage is done you didn't have to talk like that to her she feels bad enough." Ashton gets in the middle of me and Calum.
"She better toughen up because things are only getting worse from now on." Calum responds.
"Is that a threat?" I get up from the couch and face Calum, as my heart started beating faster, filling up with rage. "Is it a threat Calum?!"
"No bro, calm down I-"
"You were no one when you came to me for help. You owe me some fucking respect."
"I was just saying-"
"You shouldn't be saying shit. If you threaten her on any of us you're threatening me. And you don't want to mess around with me."
"Luke, sit down." Michael tries to make me sit back on the couch.
"Shut up Michael!"
"Luke you're bleeding again."
My eyes freeze for a second before placing my hand under my nose. When I look back at it, my hand was already covered with my own blood.
"Sit down. I'm gonna go get her." Michael breaks the silence and runs to the balcony as I sit back on the couch without saying a word.
The big wound on my lower torso had also opened up, making my fresh clean plain white shirt turn to deep red in a split second. I place my hand over it adding some pressure like Chloe told me to do.
"Luke I'm sorry I- I didn't know-"
"Just shut up Calum."
"What did you do to him?!" Chloe rushes in with Michael and Ashton by her side.
"I didn't do anything!" Calum answers.
"I told you not to argue with him! I knew this would happen Calum!"
"I'm sorry."
She kneels down in front of me and lifts up my shirt slightly to look at the wound. "I'm fine Chloe." My tone comes out surprisingly weak and raspy.
"Put your head back, you're bleeding too fast."
I do as she instructs, slowly becoming dizzy.
"Are you feeling dizzy? Weak?"
"A little. Why?"
"Michael keep him awake he can't faint." She states.
"I'm not fainting..."
"Is he going to be ok?" Calum offers to help me.
"Yes, if you keep your mouth shut for once and listen to others. If not, then I guess I won't be the one to blame."
