"Hi Michael" I say it back, my cheeks starting to heat.

"So you're Luke's new pet chicken?" He blurted out with a big laugh. My expression changes almost instantly with his joke, which to me wasn't funny at all.

"I'm sorry" He noticed it. "It's just that you're locked in here and Luke feeds you everyday, I had to make a joke about it." He kept giggling. It didn't take me too long to realize Michael was in the house the day everyone was smoking weed except for me.

The chicken.

"I didn't ask for any of this, as you probably know." I fight him, making him quit the joke.

"He didn't ask you to be here either."

His words hit me like a stab on the chest. This wasn't the first time I was being told that I am a problem to Luke, but it still made me frustrated. I face the floor for a couple of seconds, but soon I realize Michael could be my escape.

"Then please explain me why I'm still here?" The fierce side of myself was back.

"Because if you were a free chicken you'd be dead by now."

Dead? Why? Why can't they just tell me? I thought Michael could help me but he just made me more confused.

"You were in the wrong place at the wrong time" Luke steps in, and by the way he said it, he was done with this conversation.

"Tell us a bit more about you, Chloe" Luke said in the sweetest and most innocent way possible. "We want to know more about you, since you're not leaving my apartment anytime soon"

A light smile popped on my face, and before I could notice, the conversation started going the same way as it did with Rena. It's almost impossible to keep a conversation without mentioning music. I never met anyone that didn't like music. Music connects people. To me, it's like an easy way to feel what pure peace is all about.

It was now morning, and from what I heard, Michael spent the night over. Him and Luke spent hours and hours through the night in the room next to me playing League Of Legends. I didn't get to see them because I was still locked inside this hell of a bedroom, even though I don't get why, but it kept me awake. I lost count of how many times Michael called Luke a loser, despite his fierce personality. It was hilarious and it made me more comfortable to know that even though I still don't know the reason that is making them keep me captive, I start to think that maybe their intentions are not as bad as I thought. Maybe they're not bad at all.

All of a sudden, Luke opens my bedroom door, holding a glass of my favourite juice, red fruit.

"I got it right, see? I know you now." Luke handed it to me.

"That's what you think." I answered as Luke wiped his hands to his tight black super skinny jeans.

Luke has been acting very sweet to me in the last couple of days. I don't know if Rena told him how I really felt about the fact that I was locked 24/7, or if him and Michael decided to trust me and actually have a long interesting conversation that didn't involve me and Luke screaming at each other.

"I'm going out tonight. And I don't know at what time I'll come back, or even if I will come back." Luke cuts my thoughts with his cold, harsh tone.

Once again, he left me bedroom and locked me in. Even though I hate to admit it, my heart starts aching every time he does this to me. But this time it was worse. I honestly started to think that me and Luke could actually be friends and soon he'd tell me what happened after the night he shot that guy. Right in front of my eyes. I still have nightmares about it at night. My hands were bloody and I felt so disgusted and in pain. And knowing that the person that saved me from all of that just didn't care about me makes my heart break into tiny little sharp pieces. The more I think about it, the more I feel this huge anxiety that makes me want to escape this prision.
