Everything around me was fading away and my blurred vision made it impossible for me to even notice in what direction the bobby pin was going against my skin. I suddenly wake up from my nirvana with the loud sound of a banging door. In a matter of seconds Luke reached me and his strong arms held me as my body fell on the cold hard floor, weak, lifeless.

"What did you do Chloe!" He started screaming at my face while he shook my shoulders roughly, hoping it would make the "real" Chloe come back to normal.

I didn't have enough strength to answer. I felt his large hands wrapping themselves around my wounds. The clock was ticking and the bleeding didn't seem to stop. I could see the panic in Luke's eyes, turning from light blue to deep dark grey. He stood up and grabbed a plain white towel that I used every day to clean my face in the morning and pressed it against my bloody forearm. However, it still wasn't enough to stop the bleeding.

I could feel Luke's heavy breath against my neck as he held me close to him, like he didn't want to let me go and give up like this. All I wanted was for him to find a reason to take me to the hospital so I could run away. I wanted to survive, but I didn't want him to save me.

Luke kept looking around trying to find a way to stop myself from drowning in a pool my own blood. The only thing he could think of was the sheets of my bed, and it took him less than a second to pull them with no mercy and tying them to my arms, as tight as he could.

"I'm such a monster." he lets out against my shoulder. My effort to keep my eyes open was noticeable. "Look at what I've done to you... I just wanted to protect you Chloe" His voice was tender, sweet, worried, something that I've never heard before. My breathing was steady and weak, but my senses were slowly starting to get back.

"Just take me to the hospital."

"I can't do that Chloe." He pauses, giving himself a couple of seconds to think. "Is that why you did this? Because you want to get out of here?"

"You are rude, egocentric, selfish and cold" I scream at him. "I don't even have a family to cry for me when I'm dead, nothing makes me want to live anymore except my animal instinct to survive that I was born with. And keeping me here makes me feel like I'm dead already. I have got nothing to lose." At this point cold tears started running down my face along with my heavy sobs. The rage that took over me started to fade slowly and painfully, now turning into sadness.

"Just let me out, Luke. Please."

Luke's eyes froze on my face as those words came out of my mouth. Instants later his strong arms picked me up bridal style and carried my body slowly into my bed while I cried. He laid me down on my bed carefully and headed to the bathroom, grabbing a bunch of towels and a little white box.

I felt more calm, but my heavy sobbing and sadness still remained. Luke untied the sheets and disinfected my cuts with a little cotton ball, as carefully and softly as he possibly could. His soft touch on my skin made the bleeding finally stop and my fresh wounds were now protected by strong yet soft layers of bandage.

The blood covered sheets were thrown to the floor and the little white box put on the side. The blanket that kept me warm at night was placed over my cold skin.

But something tonight had changed.

Instead of leaving me alone and locking me in my bedroom, luke laid down next to me and cuddled me, holding me close to him.

"It's ok. You're ok" he kissed the top of my head while I sobbed against his chest. "You're ok Chloe" He rubbed tiny little circles on my back with his fingertips, and soon I was falling in a deep peaceful sleep.

I rub my eyes so I can get used to the daylight but then I notice the lack of Luke's arms around me. I turn around and face an unlocked door.

A way out of that hell of a bedroom.

My feet touch the cold floor as I get up and head outside of my "cage". This feels like a dream come true. I slowly walk down the hall due to me weakness, hoping that I would make any noise. My body started to shiver from how cold I still was.

The house looks extremely tidy and clean. The guitars hanging from the wall were perfectly aligned, not a single spot of dust visible. The predominant colors were red, white and black with a huge amout of large mirrors also hanging on the walls. At the end of the hall there was a really big balcony that had an amazing view of the city that I should now call my new home. Too bad I didn't really get to know it yet.

I continued to walk and avoid to stare at my lifeless figure on the mirrors, but as I look around the corner I see not only my reflection, but also Luke's, Michael's and a curly dark blond haired boy that I couldn't identify.

Luke notices my figure standing on the hall and runs to me, his hands wrapping themselves around me without even hesitanting.

"You're still too weak, you should have stayed in your bedroom." He leads me to the living room, sitting me on the large black couch.

"I'm fine."

"You're still so pale-"

"Don't worry. I've got you covered." Michael said, going back to the kitchen and bringing me a tray with sweets before I passed out.

Meanwhile I kept staring at the "new" gold haired guy that sat next to me and Luke. He was wearing all black with an also black bandana wrapped around his curls. His eyes were a green-ish hazel color, and even in the most awkward and tense moments, the smile on his face didn't seem to fade. Ashton, Michael presented him to me, and I quickly noticed his familiar voice and contagious laugh from the night Luke brought over a bunch of boys to play with smoke.

"Luke I can't eat anymore, seriously." I push the tray away from me.

"Are you sure you're ok?"

"Yeah."

"So why did you decide to move out of your place to this town?" Ashton interrupted. I guess Luke told him every single thing he knows about me already.

"I needed a place to stay. I liked it here. End of story."

"Wow Chloe great answer." Michael says sarcastically.

"How did you guys meet?" I feel like it is my turn to pop up with questions. For once.

"Long story." Ashton answered me.

"Wow Ashton great answer." I rolled my eyes at him.

"I think it's time for you to know what's going on here." Luke steps in, harsh, cold, like he was an authority to all of us.

"What do you mean?"

"We're going to tell you why you're here."
