Chapter 15-Making Money

SYNÏA'S POV


When I woke up the next morning I got a text from Erica saying she was bringing Demetria over so she could go to work. I texted her back and I got up and went to the bathroom throwing up. When I finished I brushed my teeth and I out on some pajama pants and a tank top. When I walked downstairs I heard the doorbell ring so I opened it and it was Demetria.



"My mom said she would've came in to speak but she was already running late", she said coming in.



"Okay that's fine. Mayanna is still sleep but you can go see her. Her room is the second door on the right"



"Okay"



I went in the kitchen and I made them a taco bowl. When I was done cooking I made some orange juice and I put it on the table.



"Hey girls the food is ready and it's on the table. When y'all finished wash y'all plates out", I said opening Mayanna's door. I went in my room to eat and then my phone started ringing and it was Quincy.



PHONE CALL


Me: "Hey. Did you make it there safe?", I said taking a bite out of my food answering the phone.



BabyDaddy: "Yeah we landed a few hours ago but I knew you wasn't woke yet. You eating?"



Me: "Yeah I made some taco bowls, it's good. You wanna talk to Mayanna?"



BabyDaddy: "Naw I was just calling to tell you I made it here safely. I'm about to go and I want a taco bowl when I get back"



Me: "Okay I got you. I'll see you later"



BabyDaddy: "Alright I love you and tell Mayanna I love her to"



Me: "I will and I love you to. Bye"



BabyDaddy: "Bye"



END OF PHONE CALL





When I got off the phone with Quincy I went to the bathroom to throw yo again. I think I might have food poisoning from them tater tots I had yesterday, well I hope that's why.




MAYANNA'S POV


Me, my mom and dad said our prayers before I went to bed last night and I went to bed. When I woke up the next morning I saw Demetria sitting on the floor watching tv. I told her good morning and I walked to the bathroom to use it and brush my teeth and I went back to my room and then my mom came in and told me she cooked for us so we went to the kitchen to eat.



"Girl I had the best time with my mom and dad yesterday. We went to the park, to eat, and then we went to the movies and I got everything I wanted from the mall", Demetria told me sitting down eating her food.



"Wait we need to bless the food", we grabbed hands and I said grace and then we dug in. "And we had fun to, we went skating and had a whole food fight there", I said eating.



"You should've recorded it that sound like it would be funny to watch"



"Girl it was. I want to go again but we got kicked out and we can't go back", I said laughing.



"Wow we have funny families. I had so much fun and I was sad that my dad had to leave the next day though"



"Me to. I wanted to cry. My dad left the country and he's going to be gone for a whole week. We've never been away from each other that long that far away"



"Me and my dad either. I hate they always work and have to leave late all the time"



"Right but if we start working then they won't need to so they won't have to leave all the time"



"May that's smart. We should set up a lemonade Stand outside"



"No to many people do that already, what about kool-aid. It's a whole bunch of different colors and flavors so we can get people to buy every type of kool-aid"



"You smart girl"



We put a little table outside and we got all type of pitchers and made kool-aid. We didn't know how much sugar to put in it so we just out a lot, stirred it and went outside. We were making our sign when we had our first costumer.




"Hello what are you selling?", a man said with his daughter that looked out age.




"We're selling kool-aid for 50 cents a cup. We have grape, strawberry, cherry, blue raspberry lemonade, orange, strawberry kiwi, and pink lemonade", Demetria told them while I got a box for money for us to put in. I had to go back in the house to get it and when I came back outside a lot of people were lined up.




"Dang Demetria what did you do to get all these people?", I said sitting next to her.



"Nothing they all were walking back from the park and they stopped by here". I poured some more cups and it was a lot of people coming to. We stayed busy for about an hour, I don't know what my mom was doing because she missing all these people in her lawn like this.



"Whoo! I'm tired and we all out of kool-aid. Let's close and we'll come back tomorrow"




"Good I'm tired. I didn't know selling kool-aid would be so tiring. Come on let's go so we can count our money", we cleaned up and we went back in my room to count the money.



"Hey y'all what y'all doing?", my mom said coming in sitting on the bed.



"We're counting our money", I said dumping the money out the box we put it in"



"What were y'all doing?"



"We went outside and sold cups of kool-aid. Everybody from the park came and I am tired", Demetria said getting all the dollars while I counted the quarters.




"Why y'all selling kool-aid for. Y'all don't have to worry about money"



"Because daddy is always working and if we make the money then they won't have to work so hard and they won't have to leave the country for a week"



"Awe baby girl. Y'all don't have to worry about that okay. We spend a lot of time with each other and I don't want you to feel like we aren't spending enough time with you"



"I know but it's summer so I thought since I was on break so would daddy"



"Well I'll talk to him about it okay"



"Okay thanks mommy", I gave her a hug and then she left.





QUINCY'S POV



I went up to my room and went to sleep. I was tired and when I woke up I called baby mama and as soon as I got off the phone with her somebody was knocking on my door. I just had on some basketball shorts with my shirt off with some socks and when I opened the door it was the girl in the lobby with just a swim suit on.


"Umm can I use your phone", she looked like she just got done crying and y'all know the gentleman I am I had to let ask her what's was wrong.



"Yeah come in. You okay?", I asked handing her my phone I bought from down here.



"Me and my boyfriend well ex boyfriend just got into a fight and he started punching me", she said crying.



"I'm sorry", I walked to her a gave her a hug and she hugged me back. I was about to let go but then she looked up at me and stood on her tippy toes trying to kiss me. "Wait lil mama I got a woman", y'all don't know how hard that was.



"Oh I'm sorry I'm just vulnerable right now"



"You good and when you done with the phone you can just out it on the bed", I said walking into the bathroom.



"Okay and thanks again"



"No prob"



I went and took a shower and went I got out I wrapped my towel around my waist and when I went in the room old girl was laying on my bed in some lingerie. Man what did I get myself into.



"Aye lil mama I'm not here for that. I told you I have a woman's and you sitting here in my bed like that ain't wassup. Dismiss yo self from my room"



"Are you serious? If I was yo woman I wouldn't have let you come here by yourself. You in a hotel far away from home, she should know better"



"Get the f*ck out", I yelled and she ran out my room. I slammed the door closed and I got ready for what we had to go do today.
When I finished getting dressed I heard somebody knock in the door so I thought it was one of my crew but when I opened it I saw a man pointing a black handgun at my head. I heard the gun go off and....
