Chapter 28-Family Affair

QUINCY'S POV

"Wow this is beautiful who lives here?", Synïa asked as I parked the car on the wrap around driveway.

"Let's go inside to see it and I'll let you see for yourself", I walked over and helped her out the car. We walked through the front door and everybody was there yelling surprise.

"Oh my gosh! I didn't know everybody was here", her hands were cuffed over her mouth and she looked like she wanted to cry.

SYNÏA'S POV

I was not expecting my whole family to be here. After I got pregnant everybody basically abandoned me and I haven't talked to any of them. I saw Quincy's side of the family there to and I was in tears.

"Baby we want you to know that even though we haven't talked to you and see you we want to tell you we love you", my mom said with a drink in her hand.

"Synïa we love you and we want you to know you aren't alone. We all abandoned you because of the choice you made and you've done good for yourself these years without everyone. We're proud of you", my cousin Vanessa said.

"Synïa my daughter. I miss you and I heard about your job, I'm sorry and don't worry Quincy finna get his for that. Him and that other one that did it.", Quincy's mom said whispering the last part in my ear making me laugh.

I walked around the beautiful house and I talked to everyone and I felt loved. But this was a love I felt I was missing. I guess my mom really did know and knowing her she probably told Quincy and they planned this out.

"Syn you remember me?", my little cousin said walking up to me.

"Yes I remember you Elise. You got big girl how old are you now?", I said hugging her.

"I'm 13"

"Oh my goodness chicka", we talked for a little longer and then other people started walking up to me. I saw Mayanna running around with all her cousins and everybody while the adults talked and drinked. I really needed this and now I'm realizing I really didn't need to be a stripper. Quincy's uncles was bar-b-queing in the backyard and when he finished everybody went to the big room full of tables and chairs for everybody to eat at. When everybody sat down I stood up tapping my glass with my knife.

"Hello everyone umm I want to thank everybody for being here I had no idea y'all were going to be here. Y'all just have no idea how happy I am to see everybody. I've been feeling lost in my life and I've been feeling a part of me missing and I've just been trying to fill that void in my life but no matter what I tried it didn't work and now seeing everybody here for me I feel complete. I didn't think any of you loved me or wanted anything to do with me so I want to honestly say thank-you", I didn't realize I was crying until I seen a tear fall from my face. Quincy was sitting next to me and gave me a napkin for me to dry my eyes and he gave me a hug. Then Mayanna wrapped her arms around us and we welcomed her in and next thing I know everybody was hugging everybody.

We talked and we danced until everybody left. I ate so much and I am entirely full but I'm hanging in there trying to stay up but I don't know for how long though.

"Mommy can I go with everybody back to Texas?"

"Did you ask your dad?"

"No"

"Then go ask", she ran to him and then she came right back to me.

"He said if you say yes then I can go"
