Hi it's Jackie I just want to clear up that this is not about me it's just an idea that I had also I realize I didn't give that much information on Ash so here is her background.
Ash is the middle child. Her dad left when she was 10. Her little sister (13) committed suicide when Ash was 15. Her brother is working to try to pay for her treatments. He is 20. Her mom works but is also an alcoholic. Ash is 17 in this story. She got cancer when she was 14. Her best friends are Chloe and Rose. Rose also has cancer but she comes in later in the story. And finally Luke is a guy that also comes in later.
