I honestly kinda hated today, but I got some cute one shots out of it so here's one in return. Btw- poem is by me. Until next time, Peace my Cheeses! I love you all <3

It was Valentine's Day. Of course it was. The day to celebrate love and relationships, and Rob couldn't be more single. He spent the whole walk to school dreading the day ahead, the pathetic love poem for his crush adding twenty pounds onto his backpack. His best friend Preston had been bothering him about that same note all morning; he regretted ever writing it. It's not like the other boy would ever like him, he had no chance. However, Rob had become desperate to get rid of the letter by the end of first period. And so, he did what any normal person would do: he put the note in his crush's locker.
"A happy world
One that's pain-free
Is all I feel
When your next to me

A peaceful walk
Thru dark crowded woods
Fills my mind
With woulds, coulds, shoulds

A near-bye lake
With a grand willow tree
Is the very place
I'd love for us too be

So if I may
And if I might
Could you meet me
By the lake every nite?

I think your great
I think your swell
I think we'd get together
Alot more then well

So leave a note
By my very locker door
And than I'll know
If we should meet more

-XOXO you're secret admirer"
Brandon was beyond confused by the note that fell out his locker. He had a secret admirer? The worst part was, he couldn't care less about how beautiful the poetry was. This person's grammar was atrocious. Kara, who was reading over his shoulder, began awing at the words.
"Brandon that's so cute! You gotta find out who wrote it, you gotta!"
"I don't 'gotta', I 'have to'. Why do I attract people with horrid grammar?" Brandon corrected, sighing as he closed up his locker.
"So that means you aren't gonna answer back? Because that-"
"First of all, gonna isn't a word, Kara. Second of all, I might answer back. I am almost positive I know who it was that sent this to me." With that, Brandon wandered off. Kara knew Brandon was up to something, but the bell rang out before she had the chance it interject. She shook her head, heading off to her next class.
At lunch time that day, Rob was confused as he opened his locker. Out fell a sheet of paper, one he knew too well. He carefully undid the folding, shocked when he looked at the page. It looked like an English teacher had gotten a hold of it, grammatical errors and other assorted issues were fixed in red pen. At the bottom sat a few words that gave Rob hope.
"It was a good first try, but it could definitely use some work. Come see me after school today and I could help you out ;)"
Rob began smiling widely as he laughed. That was his Brandon, he now thought that he might have been disappointed if he had responded any other way. He closed up his locker, glancing at Brandon's face before it disappeared around the corner. And Rob could've sworn he saw him smirking.
Despite Rob's better judgement, Preston had convinced the boy to meet Brandon outside after school. Preston hid in a group of bushes nearby, watching to make sure Rob stayed there until Brandon showed up. After a few minutes of waiting, however, a girl about the same age as him snuck into the bushes as well.
"Sh," she hushed Preston, "I'm assuming you're checking on Rob?" Preston nodded, confused. "Called it. Name's Kara, I'm watching Brandon to make sure he comes." Preston smiled at the other girl, noting the smirk on her face.
"Hey." It was Rob's voice that broke their stare, his voice sounded low and scared. Preston quickly turned to the scene before him.
"Hay is for horses, young man." Brandon's words were followed by a soft chuckle. "I'm sorry, I have a tendency to fix others' grammar. Hence the note." Rob chuckled this time, and Preston could still tell he was tense.
"It's okay, I'm used to it by now. I'm so sorry it's terrible, English isn't exactly my first language so..." Rob trailed off in his words.
"Really? What's your first language then?" At this point, the two began to walk away.
"French actually, I was born in Canada so-" at this point, the pair had wandered out of earshot. Kara was quick to grab Preston's hand, carefully dragging him out of the bushes as they moved to the next object to hide behind. Preston tried his best to hold back giggles at the girl's wild hair, flowing behind her with small leaves throughout. She shushed Preston, and the two listened again.
"Wow. You should speak in French more often. I can't correct your French." Brandon spun around, walking backwards slightly in order to face Rob.
"You only want to me speak French because I like the way it sounds." Rob jokingly pushed Brandon aside.
"Well, yeah. I would never admit to such a thing though." Brandon had spun back forward, falling in beside Rob.
"Uh huh, that's because-" again the duo was out of earshot, the girl groaning.
"Honestly, it's not worth it to chase them anymore. They're fine. You wanna go get a drink? There's a cute little café close by." The girl's eyes met Preston's hopefully, and Preston honestly had no reason to say no.
"Sure, but let me help you real quick." Preston was quick to grab a few leaves out of her hair, making it look like less of a mess.
"Thanks. Now let's go, I really want some coffee."
