I DIDNT REALIZE IT'S BEEN MONTH SINCE IVE UPDATED SORRY KIDDOS

Things seemed to be calming down for Phil.

Dan and his friends hadn't been messing with Phil as much lately. It was calming since Phil's anxiety had been getting pretty bad. It didn't stop completely, but it was enough to stop Phil from having panic attacks as often as he used to. Phil felt kind of bad because every time he saw Dan, Dan would look down. And he just looked so sad. Phil never spoke to him, of course. When you get in a fight with someone you don't just pat backs and make up.

"Winter break partner projects, yeah, winter break partner projects!" Ms.Meryl came into the class of tired teens singing happily. There were two weeks until winter break, and everyone was discussing plans. They all shut up when the happy woman bounced into the room, ready to teach.

"I have a list so get ready! We have a lot to cover and fourty minutes to do it!" She said happily. Phil sunk back in his seat. He didn't want to do this, but she'd make him anyway. "If you remember your partner for Mr.Reeseman's little activity from earlier in the year, perfect! Get with that person! If not, I'll read the list. Move quietly as I read names. Talk to me if there are any problems, okay?" Then she jumped into shouting names.

Phil turned around. Dan sat in the back of the class, and he was looking at Phil, too. Phil whimpered and pressed his back against his chair. He laid his arms on the desk and laid his forehead on top of them.

"Dan and Phil," Ms.Meryl read. Dan sighed and went to sit by Phil. Phil didn't move. He felt afraid of Dan and hated it. He didn't want Dan to know that, but he was sure it was obvious to everyone at this point.

"I'm sorry," Dan said suddenly. Phil expected it to be followed by 'but I can't work with you.' But it wasn't. Dan didn't say anything after. He just looked at Phil.

Phil pulled out a piece of notebook paper from his notebook and scribbled down, What?

"I said I'm sorry. I was an asshole to you, but I still don't appreciate what you told my dad." Dan said calmly. But what he said confused Phil. "Why did you do that, Phil?" Dan asked, sounding somewhat irritated. More confused now, Phil wrote,

I haven't a clue as to what you're talking about.

"Why did you tell my dad I'm gay? Because I'm not! I have a girlfriend!" Phil just sort of stared at Dan. It was the kind of stare you give someone when they say something really stupid. He even sat up straight.

I didn't say that! Your dad told me that you were gay and I didn't say anything. Dan pursed his lips and thought for a moment. He sighed and slammed his head on the desk, which concerned Phil.

"Oh...ohh that's...yeah, my dad would totally do that. God, I'm so sorry Phil. I know how to make it up to you!" Dan smiled at Phil who stared at him awkwardly.

You don't have to.

"Of course I do! I'll figure everything out and text you, okay? What's your number?" Phil was hesitant. Dan seemed a little too happy to be on good terms with Phil again. He worried it was a joke and frowned. "What?" Dan asked.
