Vic's POV"He needs to come home, Vic! I thought he was here yesterday!" Kellin shouted.
"He was for a while but then he went back to my parents!"
"And what happened to talking to him?" He yelled.
"I did talk to him."
"Yet he's still not fucking home!" Kellin screamed. "I told you Vic, he fucking hates us."
"He doesn't hate us. He needed some space from us."
"Why? I thought things were good."
"Well they obviously aren't, but he doesn't hate us."
"Sure he doesn't," Kellin said dryly. "For all I know the two of you are just fucking plotting something."
"We're not plotting anything! I'm on your side here."
"Really? Are you? Because it doesn't fucking look like it!"
"I am! I've always been on your side!"
"No you haven't," he said with a bitter laugh.
"When have I not been!?"
"When have you been!?"
"Plenty of times!"
"No you haven't! It's always Alan's side! You don't even stop him when he treats me like crap!"
"Yes I do."
"No, you don't. Quit lying to yourself Vic. You're too worried about being the cool parent."
"I am not."
"Sure you aren't," he said, rolling his eyes and left the room. "I'm going to go fucking get him."
"Seriously? Just leave him."
"No."
"Kells."
"Don't you Kells me, I'm getting our son, this is shit. It's ridiculous that every time he gets in trouble you just take up for him!"
"And it's ridiculous that every time he makes one mistake you ground him for a month!"
"I'm keeping him out of trouble!"
"By grounding him for a month? He didn't even start the fight! Neither of our parents were super strict and we turned out just fine!"
"I had to raise myself!" He argued.
I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose.
"You do remember that right? Or do you remember how your parents were always on business trips so you were home alone?" He asked. "Because I do. I remember having parents not care and at least he knows we care."
"He needs to still have time to be a kid and he won't if he's locked up here all the time!"
"Well if he can straighten up his act maybe he wouldn't be grounded all the time!"
"He tries!"
"No he doesn't or else he wouldn't do half of the shit he does."
"You don't know that!"
"Yes I do. If he didn't then he would have never ran away nor would he have tried to have sex in our house while we were here!"
"You gotta lighten up on him."
"When he can prove to me that I can, then I will."
"Seriously Kellin."
"Yes."
