Alone as this unlucky sheet trown aside

I crave to be loved.
I craved to be smiled at,
touched like this flower atop my hand.

Yet we are alone.
Sacrifices we made so they could care,
yet we are left like dung on cruel grounds.

Our hearts are wounded with repeated stripes of your whip.
Yet we are wounded.
We fall countless a time from our expectation,
as this white bird to hard ground.

We are helpless. We are alone.

We are forced to recede into the dark.
Watch happy faces from afar,
wish we were them,
but contented with the smiles.

Yet we are alone.
We wonder would things always be this way.
No one can understand being bottled up all day,
in a cold dark place,
of our worries and heart aches.

Those who promise to listen,
now stand a far place.
Like fruits,
we are always there for the take.

Yet we are alone,
they roar like the storm each time we speak,
it seems we don't fit,
yet everyday we step out with smiles.
Our life a lie.

I'm numb,
yet I perspire,
it's a freezing drop that kills the ground.
The sound of our emotion
A clash against our ear drums.

Yet we are alone.
Forgive, forget, bear it.
Do we rehearse this word all the time?
Are we fashion to live like this for all time?
Is this the path we must follow?

I see a light up above,
I must ascend,
I must reach it.
But then it snaps like this red ribbons I hold onto.
This is our hope ,
crashed every time they're raised.

Yet we are alone.
It's time to smile,
it's time to realise,
my empty dark world,
I own you.
