When Your Sword Pierced My Heart

My spirit is broken within me,
You have betrayed me,
My lover, my friend.

You whispered true love when thou camest.
You stole my heart with your expression,
Now you have dug an earth for me.

I thought you loved me,
I thought you cared,
I opened my heart, and you tore it out of its nest.

You are cruel, you are not a friend,
You said I should never leave you,
But you left me first.

Your hands were warm when you came,
Now your cold trail remains,
As my head bows down in pain.

You broke me, I can't quench this pain
My heart keeps twisting,
And I lie in tears.

You think I don't care,
You think I don't do my best?
You were wrong when you slew me again.

My innocence cannot be broken,
Because in truth I stand,
I hoped to gain you, but you threw me from the cliff.

Bother not yourself, don't you turn again,
Let me fall a thousand feet,
And lay my head in pain.

How many times will this heart heal itself?
How many times will I hope,
Only to be smashed again.

I'm tired, I have done no wrong,
All I ever wanted,
Was to make someone smile.

How can I talk, how can I laugh?
Thank you for taken me back,
To my past and pain.

Goodbye to you, if only I could say it out.
My heart still remains alive,
While my body wreaths in pain.

Your actions are a sword,
A swift sword crafted from death,
In your words and action, you pierced me in.

In, in the chest that held much warmth and love,
Despite my past I told you,
In your sword went.

Walk, yes walk agent of death,
Leave me to lay in peace,
Walk and make another your next.

I cannot forget,
To my mind another memory went,
Forsake me, and cover me in red.

Forsake me, Pierce me,
This old heart of mine,
Have learnt to survive in pain.

I wished I could be loved,
I wished I could show the world how to love,
but another's misunderstanding has laid my heart bare.

Let me close my eyes,
Maybe I shall find what I seek in the other veil,
Or maybe I was birthed too good to be here.
