"Come in!" Delaney yelled from her position on the couch. Her feet were propped up onto the wooden coffee table located in front of the television.

Delaney turned her head to look at the door once she heard the creak of it opening. That's when she noticed her best friend and his younger, ginger brother, walk in, pulling a large rusty red wagon along with them.

"Power out?" The blue-eyed girl asked. Not breaking her focus from the novela she had been watching.

"Yeah, is it cool if we put some of this stuff in the fridge?" She heard one of the brothers ask, assuming it was Lip due to the deeper voice. Puberty does wonders ladies and gentlemen.

Delaney didn't respond but simply held her thumb in the air, too focused on whether Rodrigo would tell Bianca if he cheated.

Once the two boys were done loading their excess food into the girl's refrigerator, they parted ways. Ian claiming he had to go meet Mandy god knows where. Lip assumed he was really going to have a quick blow your load and hit the road session with Kash. Lip didn't approve of his younger brother seeing a man that was old enough to be his father. Or for the fact, the man actually was a father. Sighing, Lip threw himself down onto the couch next to his best friend, his arm casually finding its way around her.

"I can't believe you watch this shit." Lip nudged the girl.

"Oh shut up, you like it too." The girl hushed, her head casually leaning on her best friend's shoulder.

Lip really loved people watching. He enjoyed sitting somewhere, just watching the people around him, wondering where they were going, how they were feeling. His favorite person to watch, however, was the girl whose head currently resides on the teen boy's shoulder. He loved watching the way her blue eyes would change from an almost glass-like look to a deep stormy color when she was upset. He loved watching how when she would laugh, or smile, two dimples would take place on her cheeks, the one on the left noticeably deeper. He particularly enjoyed the small freckles he could spot scattered across her nose, not many people noticed them. You had to be extremely close to her face to see them. And that was his favorite time. When Delaney and the boy would both be laying together, staring at one another, talking about whatever was on their mind. Lip truly felt like he could be himself around the girl. He knew he was smart. But she knew he was a genius. She knew she was talented. But he knew she was marvelous. The two friends knew things about the other that even they didn't understand.

Delaney knew her friend liked to watch her, she didn't mind though. She enjoyed it. She enjoyed feeling like for one moment in time, she was the only thing he saw. She wasn't sure why she felt that way. Especially more so recently. Friends weren't supposed to think like this. She would not let her feelings control her thoughts anymore.
