The dazzling sun quickly begun to fade,
Causing the fall colours to dim as well.
The birds singing died as the branches swayed.
The pitch black, cold night finally had fell.Clouds hid the moon, causing an eerie glow.
The only light appeared from the lamp posts,
That lined the quiet, vacant streets below.
The only dark presence was those of ghosts. But in the serenity of my home,
I felt safe, like nothing could be of harm.
I sat in front of my hearth of chrome,
Holding my pillow like it was a charm.Nothing can get me while I am inside,
Hoping that this was a good place to hide.
