I stared at Pierce for a moment, then Dominic, and finally, Simon. Sadly, there were no signs of sudden laughter or "HA HA! SUCKA!". I gulped, my throat suddenly becoming very dry and itchy.
"I-I. . ." My voice came out scratchy and very audible. I quickly stumbled up the stairs and slammed the door of my room. I started to hyperventilate, as I packed up every thing I had into my duffel bag. I rushed downstairs again to see the shocked faces of all the guys.
"Omen, where are you going?" Alden asked me. I tripped and stumbled slightly on the last step. I shook my head, looking at the ground.
"Please, think about this." Dominic said.
"N-n-no." I muttered. Pierce stepped in front of me.
"Omen, please. Put your stuff back upstairs. We can talk about this." He stepped closer to me. I yelped and flinched away, managing to land on my butt.
"We aren't bad!" Simon reasured me.
"P-prove it." I stuttered.
"We would never hurt you, Omen." Pierce said. He squatted down with his hands in front of him. "We know that you've had nightmares about our kind your whole life, but we'll protect you. Nothing will hurt you while you're with m-us."
I looked up at the other guys. Each of them looked worried.
"OK," I muttered. They let out sighs of relief. "But I want to know everything. No lies." We all positioned ourselves in the living room, myself in my own love seat and everyone else either on the couch or standing.
"Right," Pierce said. "Well, we have all known about you for all our life. All Werewolves do. You are one of the first things we learn as children. The story goes that one day, five lucky werewolves will be greeted by a girl with full-werewolf blood running through her viens. They say that when we see her, we will immediately know she's the one."
"Why five?" I asked. He shrugged.
"Anyway," Elliot took over. "It's said that the girl will free those five of being werewolves. As long as she doesn't fall in love with a werewolf or is marked by a werewolf from another pack. Or killed, that would just ruin the chances of anyone being normal."
"Are there any female werewolves?" I asked. He shook his head.
"Usually we mate with humans." Dominic said. "But if the girl was to mate with a werewolf and had a daughter, we would be able to pass down werewolves throughout generations better. They'd be stronger, smarter, and more coordinated werewolves."
"So, you guys are saying that Iam this girl?" They all nodded. "I can't be. You said she had to have full-werewolf blood! I-I have AB negative blood type!"
Simon bit his lip and looked at the ground. "Omen, that's the blood type we were told she'd have."
"Why the hell would they get that specific?" I hissed. They all shrugged. I stood up. "Right, well, I'm not the girl you're looking for! I grew up in Manhatten. I failed high school! I DYED ALDEN'S HAIR PINK!"
Alden frowned and ran a hand through his hair. I quieted my voice down. "I'm sorry, but I can't help you."
"Then how do you explain that wolf trying to kill you?" Elliot asked.
"Rabid animal."
"And the wolves that saved you?"
"Hallucinations."
"Your nightmares?"
"I'm insane"
"Our knowing you're the one?"
