"I'm bored!" I complained for what seemed like the millionth time. We were in the middle of the track, sitting on the grass. We figured that we might as well get reading chapter fifty out of the way so we didn't have to worry about it all vacation, so we decided to read it together. Pierce picked up a small rock and playfully threw it at me. It hit the side of my head. "HEY!" I yelled. I sat up and tackled him. I had my elbow wrapped around his neck from behind on the ground when Alden and Elliot walked over.
"What is happening here?" Elliot said, his eyebrows knit together in confusion. I left go of Pierce and got off the ground.
"He threw a rock at me!" I said pointing to Pierce.
"You probably deserved it." Alden said. He picked up my history book and handed it to me, while Pierce got up with his own in hand. We started walking back to the main building.
"Despite that mean comment," I said, casting a glare at Alden. "What do you guys usually do on Full Moon Fest Vacation?"
Alden shrugged. "Sometimes we go clubbing in New York city-" I froze at that. "but usually we just hang out or go into the city to, y'know, hook up with the ladies." He wiggled his eyebrows at me.
"Eww." I said. "Get away from me, you creeper." I moved away from him to the other side of Pierce. They laughed at me.
"I didn't mean you." Alden said. "I've already found my mate." He grinned smuggly.
"Was that before or after you were flirting with me the first time I met you guys?" I asked. The guys laughed and started teasing him as his face blushed. "It's OK. I won't tell her when I meet her."
"Oh, you're not meeting her!" he exclaimed. I stopped walking and stepped in front of them. They stopped in their tracks, just outside of the main building.
"And why the hell not?" I demanded, eyebrows raised and hands on hips.
"I don't want you to poison her precious mind! Plus, you would put her in danger. No way. You are not meeting her." Alden said. He used a tone that made me decide not to argue further. I narrowed my eyes and growled slightly. I then turned around and stomped into the main building and to my dorm. I noticed before I left that they had all looked a little shocked when I growled at them. Why? I don't know! All I could think about was how mad I was at them. Who were they to decide who I meet? Well, it was mostly Alden, but I was mad that Pierce or Elliot didn't say anything.
I slammed the door shut to my room and collapsed on the bed. I sighed.
Alden... That bastard...
There was a knock on my door. I had just barely lifted my head before it flung open.
I sat up and looked at Ashton. "Uh, come in?"
He sat down next to me on the bed. "Are you OK? Why did you slam the door so loudly?" I sighed.
"Just... irritated." I lied back down on my back.
"What's up?" he asked. He situated himself more comfortably and held my hand lightly. I felt like I was in therapy.
"Apparently, Alden found his mate."
I felt his hand tense up a little. "So?"
"He says I'm not allowed to meet her." Ashton relaxed a bit. "He says that I'll 'poison her prescious mind'."
Ashton smiled a little. I felt my heart melt a bit. "Why do you want to meet her so badly?" I sat up.
"Because as far as I know, she's the only other girl that knows about werewolves and the idiot guys in the pack!" I exclaimed. I stood up, letting go of his hand.
