I slept in til noon on Saturday. When I woke up I was surprised to see I was snuggled up to Ashton. I jerked my head away from his chest and looked around for my pack. They weren't there. I attempted to get off the bed, but found Ashton's arms laced around my waist.

"Hey!" I whispered, poking his cheek. "Wake up!" He opened his eyes and groggily sat up.

"What time is it?" he asked me, stretching his arms.

"Oh, it's what-the-hell-are-you-doing-in-my-bed o'clock!" I put my hands on my waist.

"You fell asleep last night during the movie. I didn't want to wake you up since you and I were entangled, and you're beautiful." He smiled and got out of the bed.

"Suck up." I muttered. He looked at his watch and sighed.

"Ten more minutes til lunch. I guess I'll just hang with you until then." he said. I rolled my eyes and went to my closet. I grabbed a pair of black sweatpants, red tank top, and a black crochet crop tee. I turned back to Ashton with eyebrows raised. He was lounging on my bed, feet crossed, and arms behind his head. He smiled at me. "Don't let me stop you."

"Wow, we sleep in the same bed one time and you're already being a jerk." I shook my head. His smile faded.

"I'm sorry." He got up and walked out of the room. I got this strange feeling when he left. It was like I was sad, or disappointed, or depressed. I shook it off and changed into my clothes. The bell for lunch rang so I made my way to the lunch room. I met up with Simon and Dominic there. I had an omelet and english muffin. I decided to go back up to my room and think of something to do. But when I entered my dorm, I saw a piece of folded paper sitting on my bed. It read:

Dear Omen,

Meet me at the swimming pool at one thirty. Wear shorts and a tank top.

~Ashton

My heart began beating faster and faster the more I read the letter. For two reasons. One: I had to go to the pool. Two: Ashton wanted to meet me there. There was something about the fact that Ashton was going to be there that encouraged me to change into some faded jean shorts that hugged my thighs tightly. I took off the crop tee and made my way to the dome. I got there at one twenty five.

"Ashton?" I called out. I looked around but didn't see him. I walked up to the pool. And that's when I saw him.

"Omen!" He called out. It sounded gurgled though, because he was drowning in the pool. I screamed, my hands going to my mouth. Without even thinking, I jumped into the water and swam towards him. I grabbed his arm and helped him keep his head above water. Then I managed to get him out of the pool. I was breathing heavily as I tapped on his chest.

"Are you OK?" I asked him. He nodded and coughed a few times.

"Omen," he panted. "You just conquered your fear." He smiled at me. My eyes widened to the size of dodge balls as I looked at the water. My heartbeat stayed the same. I didn't have the urge to cry or vomit.

"You're right." I whispered in awe. "Did you plan this?" He nodded. I slapped his shoulder hard. Before he could react I wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him. He pulled me closer to him by the waist. "Thank you." I told him when I leaned back to see his face, our arms still around each other. "I've been afraid of drowning for all my life. When I was younger taking a bath was a struggle." We laughed, but it faded quickly. Simultaneously, we both began leaning in. Our lips touched softly, and the kiss became passionate quickly after. We both seemed to be trying to get closer to each other. The kiss ended and we leaned back again. We were both smiling like idiots.
