The next morning, nothing seemed different. Just another usual morning. I got ready for school, as quick as I could, so I could get earlier to school and have a gossip session with the girls.

I hurried downstairs, but I stopped when I noticed something really strange taking place in our living-room. Just scratch over all that "another usual morning" stuff.

On the couch on my living-room, there was a little angel named Daisy. Next to her, there was a man, who I think was her father. He looked older than my parents, who, by the way, were standing there too, serving cookies and milk.

"Oh, you're awake!" my mother chirped.

     "Yeah... Hey, Daisy!" I cooed.

"December!" she shouted, getting up from the couch and running in my direction, hugging me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"My father wanted to thank you." she said.

I looked up to see her father coming to me. He wore a huge smile on his face, matching Daisy's.

     "So, you are December?"

"Yes," I answered, a little unsure about what I should say.

"Well, I only wanted to thank you for what you did for me and my daughter. That gift you gave us. It was the best thing that ever happened to us, and I feel like we owe you so much!" Daisy's dad stated.

"You don't owe me anything, sir. I did it because I knew you both are worth saving. So, yeah, really. It's okay." I smiled, watching the both of them standing there, happy.

"There must be something we could do" he insisted.

"There is. Just bring Daisy around some days, and take care of her. Now, excuse me, but I really have to get to school." I said, making my way to the door, but not before saying my goodbyes to Daisy's family.

As I got outside, I thought once more, that my wish came true. They were happy. And I was happy. I couldn't believe it was because of that wish. But maybe... I was interrupted when I felt someone next to me. I looked next to me to see Finn, one of my best friends.

     "Morning, Finn!" I said.

     "Morning, Ember!" he responded.

After that, I just filled him in about why me and Dylan weren't yesterday at school. When I finished the story, he just looked at me suspiciously.

"Didn't Dylan tell you anything?" he questioned.

"No. Was he supposed to? Did anything happen between him and Sophia?" I inquired.

Finn just mumbled something that I couldn't quite catch. Maybe it did. That would be so cool. My two best friends together. They would be so cute. But I have to admit, I would prefer Dylan or Sophia telling me. Not Finn. It wasn't that I had anything with Finn, but it would just be better if I heard about it from Soph.

Shortly after that, we got to school, were we joined our friends in our usual spot, a bench near the entrance. I ran to the girls, hugging each of them, while Finn did the hand-shake thing. Before we could talk about anything, Dylan announced that he had to go to class earlier, so Bryan and Finn went with him.

"What happened with Dylan?" I asked.

"I don't know, just a rough day, I guess." Sophia added.
