When I woke up, I freaked out. Mostly because the last thing I remember was falling asleep on a roof in the city. But, soon enough, I realized I was in my bed. I still  had the clothes I had worn last night, but I was in my bed. So, somehow, I had gotten home. But how?

I looked on my calendar and noticed it was Friday. I felt excitement fill my heart, thinking about the weekend. Oh, my love. I got dressed as quickly as I could, and went downstairs, where I was welcomed by a family reunion. Confusion replaced excitement, but it was soon over, when I remembered Ashley was going to sleep here. I jumped up, and squealed. I went over to the table, where my family was. I smiled and hugged my mom.

"Morning, people! Ashley, just take your bags upstairs. Come with me! I need to tell you something," I said as fast as I could.

Nobody said anything, but instead they looked at each other, a little worried. I smiled at Jane and Dave, and told them:

"Don't worry, Ashley's in good hands. I promise we won't go to any parties. We are going to throw one, but that's a whole different thing," and I left, before any of them could've said anything.

Ashley followed me, in silence upstairs. She left her bags in my room, and then, I did the thing I recently had learnt. I flew to the attic. Behind me, I heard Ashley gasp.

I smiled to myself as I turned around, only to find her running toward me.

"Are you crazy? What is this? How are you? I mean, can you...? You can..? You actually...?" she mumbed.

"Yeah, I can fly. No big deal. Just wished for it, and it came true. Seriously. Like, nothing weird." I said, as I got back on my feet, looking around the attic. I quickly found the box and chose a statue.

When I turned around, I noticed Ashley was still standing there, her jaw almost touching the ground. Of course, for me it was... Normal... Kind of. But for her is like seeing a pizza yell. I went to her, and just said:

"Don't worry, I'll show you something cooler when I get home. Okay? Just don't tell anyone."

     "O-o-okay," she stuttered.

I hugged her, and hurried downstairs. I didn't even say goodbye to my parents. I was running late, and all because of this stupid statue. I looked at it and noticed I must have taken the ugliest of them all. It was something that had to look like a sock. But because it was 3D, it looked more like a big pile of red goo. So, not that great. As I was "admiring" that piece of art, someone put their arm over my shoulder. Thinking it was Sam, I pulled away, but I came to face with a really handsome Dylan. Wait, did I just say Dylan was handsome? Why?

And that's when I noticed something changed about him. He was shining, or something. It was like light was pouring out of him. Like he was the answer to all my questions. Like he was an angel. Blue eyes, intense. Brown hair, looking messy as usual. And that great smile. That great, breath-taking smile. That's when I realized I must've been staring, so I turned away, blushing like an idiot. When did this thing happen? Since when was I blushing because of Dylan?

"Morning, Emb," he chirped, pretending not to notice the blush that was covering my whole damn face.

Why couldn't I have one of those cute blushes? Like, only the cheeks? You know, the one that guys consider cute. No, I had to have the weirdest blush of them all. Just, tomato mode. Seriously. My whole face.

"Morning, Dylan," I coughed, trying to sound normal, but I failed, because he wrapped his arm around my shoulders, and the feeling he gave me was crazy.
