She looked at the clock and cursed under her breath seeing it was way past her time to wake up.

She pushed the covers off of her and got out of her bed.

She had about ten minutes to put on her clothes and go to work.

Taking a quick shower and pulling on some work pants and a formal shirt she dumped her accessories in her office bag and proceeded to rush downstairs. Being a werewolf did lessen down the clumsiness one faces as a human.

"Mom! I'm leaving!" She shouted out grabbing an apple and her car keys.
A faint 'bye' could be heard from the room in the corner.

She sprinted out the door and plugged the key in ignition hearing it roar into life.

The car ride was mostly uneventful with only a few cars on the road.
She parked in her parking space and made her way up the tall office building.

She worked in a business firm inside the pack territory and it was run by the Alpha of the pack.

The businesses were constant and she earned well being the company secretary.

Being twenty two, even though her family was well off, she liked to earn her own living and contribute to the family. Her family was supportive of her choices and would often encourage her to take a step forward in her career and maybe start her own business.

The glass doors of the building slide open as she walked towards them. Her heels clicking against the marbled floor is rhythmic steps.

"Good Morning, Mrs Johnson. What is the schedule today?" She asked her. Her job was to make sure everything was provided for in the company, accounts, business deals, employees, etc.

Mrs Johnson was a forty year old lady who sat at the reception and helped the on coming customers of the day. She was a sweet lady with short black hair and a bit of a plum.

"Good Morning, Lydia. Actually, today's schedule is all packed up but the most important thing that is going to happen today is our new CEO is coming as in, the Alpha's son. So you need to be in their office by 10:30 to let him check everything out." She whispered the last part glancing at the passers by.

"How old is he?" She asked clicking a pen that was in her pant pocket, a habit she had picked up in her childhood.

"About twenty six. Word is he hasn't found his mate yet." Mrs Johnson winked at the younger girl going back to typing into the computer signalling the end of the conversation.

"Have a good day, Mrs Johnson." Lydia said and made her way to the lift which led her to the sixteenth floor, where her office was.

Being a company secretary, her office was beside the Alpha room, basically the main office.

"Lydia, the new boss wants to see you, immediately." Rosie, the personal assistant of the CEO of this company walked into her office and stated. Her tight red skirt and beige blouse hardly held her goods with her face caked with make up and striking red lipstick.

Lydia had taken a certain dislike towards Rosie as soon as she had been employed but didn't voice her opinions remembering her position.

"Thank you, Rosie. I'll be right there." She brushed her pants, soothing them and got up. Rosie left walking in her high heels like the owned the world.
Lydia knocked on the mahogany door and heard a deep voice answer her making a shiver run down her spine.

"Come in." He demanded making her immediately push the door open and his scent over powered her every sense.

Mate. Her wolf whispered in her mind making her freeze in her steps.
She took in the figure of her soulmate which faced the dark desk giving her a view of his broad shoulders and intimidating demeanour.

"I want that girl fired as soon as you can." He ordered but hearing silence greet his command he turned.

Lydia was still shock stricken. At the age of twenty two she had lost the hope of ever finding her other half, her mate.

"Mate." His brooding voice spoke with a wave of confidence.

She closed her gaping mouth and backed away ever so slightly as he walked towards her.

"Oh how long I've waited to meet you, a one to call my own." He whispered lowly and took her into a kiss.

The kiss poured the love and longing he felt for the one he never met but waited to.

The kiss made her knees weak and her mind baffled. The way his lips felt against hers were a feeling of complete and utter bliss. She never had encountered the love she had now, the feeling of it.

She felt like the only one he could ever care for and would ever.

She felt like a queen meeting with her king on a joyous occasion. The feeling being out of the world.

Everyone needs a love like this. Everybody should feel this.

Love isn't always at first sight, and she was never the one to believe it was but being in his embrace she couldn't fall deeper in love with him.
