Chapter 21

Vanessa's POV
I woke up this morning with a bright smile because well things are back to normal. I guess? But me and Roni are thinking about going on tour. Our dad said 'Maybe we can do it.' But it was before he passed away. But we can still do it because we have their permission. I went to the bathroom and fresh in up. Put on a 'Darth Vader' sweater , black ripped jeans and a pair of maroon converse. I went downstairs and see food on the table. Suddenly, Chris pops up. 'I made all of us breakfast.' He smiles. All of us were already awake. We all sat at the table and eat. For 5 minutes of awkward silence, Chris ask me am I feeling better? 'Yeah. I feel better.' 'So?' I said to fill up the awkward silence. 'Me and Roni are going to the mall and meet up a couple of friends and then going to a party. Wanna join?' I ask the boys. 'Yeah!' Chris full of excitement. 'Crawford?' He ask. 'Sure.' Crawford answers with a little disappointment.

Veronica's POV
I wonder if Crawford is okay. I smiled at him when he looked at me after he answered Nessa's question but my smile faded after he frown and looked back at his cereal. After, I was doing the dishes. 'Hey.' I flipped out. Crawford. 'Oh god. You startled me!' I exclaimed.  'Sorry. So um wheres this party?' 'Oh! Its at Alissa's bungalow. No. 21 ,Maple street.' I smile. 'Cool,' He walks off. 'Crawford?' 'Yeah,' 'What happened to your mom?' 'Why you ask?' 'I don't know. You acting down these days. When your mom & dad left you.' 'I'm down because they left each other. And my mom changed her life and just forgets about us. I don't even know where is she.' He sobs. 'I'm sorry,' I hugged him. 'Its okay,Crawford. Sometimes life is hard.' 'Really hard.' We both giggled and went back sobbing and hugging.

Outside on the hammock with Vanessa and Chris,
'Hey you,' Chris muttered. 'Hey!' Vanessa exclaims. 'Come lay with me,' Vanessa smiles. 'Sure. I love your smile,' 'Well I love you.' 'Me too.' They kiss. 'When are you going to the mall?' Chris ask. 'When Roni is ready. Why?' 'Nothing.' He answers. She sighed. 'I feel different. Not that I changed. Its like something changed. And it made me FEEL different.' 'Well its life. Things happen and everything changes.' 'Yeah but this feeling is different. I feel like I'm lonely. I mean its just Roni and I.' 'And me and Crawford.' They hugged. 'I'm glad I have you.' Vanessa muttered. 'Nessa, I'm ready.' Veronica said. 'Yeah. I'm coming.' Vanessa mumbled. Vanessa couldn't stop staring in Chris's eyes while they were on the hammock. Chris too. 'Hey Chris! Lets go to Jake's house before the party.' 'Yeah. Yeah.' He mumbled. 'Are you kidding me?' Crawford yells. Crawford and Veronica looks at each other. 'Lovey birds!' Veronica shouted. 'What?!' Said Chrisessa. 'Lets go, Nessa.' 'Oh yeah. Bye! Love you.' 'Bye. Love you too.' Chrisessa said bye and went there separate places.
