Author’s Note: Hello everybody! This chapter was written a long time ago but because I could not carry on with the remaining chapters, I thought it would be safer to not post this yet so that I can make changes to this if needed. Anyway, NOTE that I have changed the name of the male protagonist to NEERAV. Midnight Writer2012 (from FictionPress) didn’t understand how “Neil” sounded Indian. After some thought, I realised she was right! Hence, the change in name. I would really like to thank her for reading and reviewing despite her busy schedule. Do you know, she is writing THREE stories at the SAME time? So nice of her to help me out. Thank you Cinzie (from FictionPress) for leaving me reviews too! Keep the support coming!

Chapter 5 – Welcome

“So, how do we get in?” Bipasha asked the driver of the car that had come to pick her and Neerav up from the airport. She didn’t know the model. She wasn’t interested in the specifics but she remembered that Neerav had whistled in appreciation when he saw the car. It was big and spacious. All their luggage had managed to fit in nicely. Also, there was enough space for the both of them to snuggle up in the backseat. The driver didn’t mind anyone not sitting up front beside him. He was friendly too. He had answered all of Bipasha’s questions. And there were a lot of them. Neerav, who was feeling the effects of jet lag, the lack of sleep and the ungodliness of the hour, was almost tempted to kiss her just so she would shut up. But, he didn’t want to make the driver uneasy.

Back to reality, the driver replied, “You’ll know how to do so when you walk up to the house.”

“Cryptic much?” Bipasha said wryly.

The driver smiled at her. “You really will know.” Bipasha snorted. They had just finished unloading the last of bags.

“Beeps, enough.”

“Neerav!”

“What?”

“Stop calling me that!”

“You know you like it.” Neerav smirked.

Bipasha huffed and directed her attention to the driver. She extended her hand for a handshake. “Thank you…”

“Asad.” The driver smiled.

“Oh my God. I am so sorry. You drove us here from the airport for God-knows-how-long and we didn’t even get your name.”

“Beeps, you suck.” Neerav commented.

Turning to mock glare at him, Bipasha threatened, “You watch out.” She pointed her index finger at him. Asad laughed. “Anyway, point is, I am thankful-”

“We are thankful,” Neerav interjected.

“Kay, fine. We are thankful. Drop by sometime. I’m sure Neerav will be more than happy to cook you a feast.” Neerav sputtered.
