With my best friend's murder fresh in my mind, I was ready to pull the trigger of my gun. I headed over to La'Tisha's apartment to find it empty just like I thought it would be. When I busted in the door, I found her apartment void of furniture with a note on the counter.
"I was expecting you; I guess this means war", it read.
I searched for any evidence of where she could be, but there was none. I had to give her props, the girl knew what she was doing. She was handling the situation like a game and if that's the way she wanted it, I was going to make her find me, which she would probably find hard. I had moved my brother and I to a new place because now that Tiff was gone, it didn't feel right living in her mom's house. Also, I refused to have my brother be killed because of a war between me and La'Tisha. Where La'Tisha had messed up at was that when I met her, she took me and Tiffany to the St. Thomas; I met her whole family. They were going to be her death sentence because I was going to kill one of them every day until she came to me. In my subconscious I was a little glad she was hiding for the moment because I honestly didn't want to kill an innocent baby. I know I'm a little backwards because of all the blood I was ready to shed, but that was one line I really didn't want to cross. She was going to miss her loved ones just like I did, though, and then I was going to blow her brains out.
Just like Tiff underestimated her, she underestimated me and that was going to be her biggest downfall. I had to play smart and take my time because my weakness had always been moving too fast just like she had said before.
About two months passed before I had a plan ready and it was good. I had connects in the streets so I called on an old buddy Brandon to help me put action to my plan.
When me, Tiff, and La'Tisha hit up a couple drug spots awhile ago, we ended up basically owning a warehouse. That's where I was planning to hold all of her family. I was going to kill someone in La'Tisha's family until she was on her knees in front of me begging me to have mercy on her and her family. What I needed Brandon to do was get her family in the warehouse so they couldn't get out. He grabbed a couple boys he knew and headed to take care of business. I paid them cash money and told them if they said one word, they would die. I knew Brandon through Tiffany so I knew he went by the code. He didn't ask too many questions and he never volunteered any information.
When I met Brandon at the warehouse two days later, there were seventeen familiar faces waiting on me. That meant seventeen weeks in a row, La'Tisha was going to attend a funeral and I was going to watch everything unfold. I was ready for her, I was positive she was going to find me and I had no doubts about that.
I had no doubts because I was about to hit her where it hurt...
