Lydia playfully shoved Matt to the side as she took a bottle of silver spray paint. "Lydia.. you call that a poster?" Matt chuckled looking down at the mess she had created. Lydia scoffed, going to reply but she groaned holding the sides of her head in pain. A few images passed before she gasped softly opening her eyes.

"Whoa.. Lydia, you okay?" Matt frowned.

She shook her head, "Yeah." "What was that?" Matt questioned, confused at the sudden outburst. "That was my old memories painfully coming back." Lydia let out a sigh. Her eyes averted away from the blue eyes boy to a perky blonde who walked into the cafeteria. Caroline narrowed her eyes at the decorations.

"What the hell is this?" She called out.

"It's the decade dance, remember? You made us all sign up to help." Matt answered, setting down the paintbrush to look at Caroline. "No." Caroline argued, "This is the twenties! We are doing the seventies." Before Matt could respond Rebekah walks into the room ordering people around.

"It's top flashy, people. It's supposed to be speakeasy, not the world's fair." She walked up to Caroline, Matt, and Lydia. "Lydia, are you kidding me? This is crap. You should know about this you lived through the twenties." Rebekah glared at the poster in Lydia's hands.

Lydia face scrunched up in annoyance. "Bitch." She mumbled before throwing the poster away, listening to Rebekah and Caroline to at it. "I'm the chair of the dance committee. The theme of the decade dance is the 1970s." Caroline insisted.

"So you'd rather dress in tacky colours with bad hair then be a classic flapper from the jazz age?" Rebekah scoffed. "Maybe we could do both decades?" Lydia offered trying to make peace.

"No!"

"Go on, Lydia, don't be a coward. You know you loved my twenties idea when I presented it to the group." Rebekah smirked. Caroline turned around looking at the strawberry blonde with an angry expression. "Traitor!"

"Whatever. Have fun at your stupid dance." Caroline walked away. Lydia watched Matt run after her, before she turned away going to make another poster.
_____

"Stefan?" Lydia called out dropping her bag at the door as she walked doen the halls of her home. She haxe finished helping with the dance, so she decided it'd be a good idea to check on her brother who was trying to get Alaric's alter-ego to confess where the last white oak stake was.

Lydia walked down the basement looking for Stefan. She saw him leaning against the wall reading a book, she was going to greet him but Ric had woken up. "Welcome back." Stefan spoke up. "What happened?" Ric groaned, "Did I-" "No. You pretty much just, uh, laid there dead." Stefan answered ignoring the weird looks he was getting from his little sister.

"This is stupid. Evil me, or whatever you want to call him, he's not going to make an appearance. Why would he? I mean, the best hiding place is the one where you can't even find the person who hid it."

Lydia let out a sigh, "I'm really sorry, Ric." Ric nodded knowing what was going to happen as he took off his ring that brings him back to life. With that Lydia took the first swing at Ric.
____

Ric fell against the wall after Stefan had just punched him in the mouth. Ric stood up grunting as he felt the blood trickle down his mouth. He wiped the sweat from him forehead as he looked at Stefan and Lydia who stood behind her brother.

"You're not putting enough into this." Ric spat.

"Any more into it, I'm going to break your spine." Stefan replied, raising his fist again he hit Ric, Ric fell to the floor groaning chocking up blood, he spit it out. His head felt like a thousand needles were piercing into it. He could feel the bruises forming on his face, another hit like that he was sure Stefan was going to brake his jaw.
