The first time Peter Parker met Eliza Martin was the day he went to Stark industries to talk to the big man himself about the internship for students he was doing. The college boy knew of Eliza - they went to the same college, and it's hard not to notice the usually angry girl with her goofy best friend, Josh Meyers - but Eliza didn't know of Peter - she likes only remembering faces and names for highly important reasons; and up until the tall, lanky male walked into the office of Tony Stark, she didn't think of him as important. But even though Peter knew of the girl, that didn't mean he knew she helped with Stark industries as well. The first clue given to him of the girl being in the building was the loud, annoyed talking that was emitting from her as she spoke on the phone.

(He could hear her from down the hall. It scared him a bit honestly, especially since the talking was coming from Tony Stark's office.)

"Look, Mister, I- okay, Mr. Trump. Is that better? Wait, no, don't answer that because I'll call you what I wanna call you, 'kay? Now, Tony Stark said he wasn't funding neither you nor Clinton because you both suck ass. So, please, stop pestering the man- no, no. Don't interrupt me like that. I'm not done talking! Stop pestering Tony Stark, got it? If he doesn't want to do anything with your campaign, then who cares? Life goes on, Donald Duck. Shit, I mean Donald Trump... Who am I kidding - no I don't. Now- oops, sorry, our call is over because another person is calling. Bye, bye Donald."

Eliza rolled her eyes as she hung up on the shitty human who goes by Donald Trump, answering the next call and instantly hearing the pestering voice of Hillary Clinton for the millionth time that day. Instantly, the college student hung up on her and pulled out her own phone. She started playing Rolling Sky just as she heard footsteps nearing Tony Stark's office. And, thinking it was her father as the door opened, she didn't bother looking up as she spoke.

"Trump and Clinton called again, and just in case you get an e-mail from their lawers: I kinda went off on- oh. You are not Tony Stark." Eliza's eyes widened at seeing a boy around her age standing in front of the door with a confused expression. "Um," she stood up from her father's desk and stuck out her hand. "Eliza Martin, Mr. Stark's secretary's assistant."

The boy walked up and hesitantly shook hands with her, "Peter. Uh, Parker. Peter Parker."  He paused as he stopped shaking her hand.  "I'm here for the...for the internship Mr. Stark is doing."

The girl's grey eyes widened in sudden remembrance.  "I knew I was forgetting something today!" She yelled at remembering, "Alright, yeah, uh...  Just wait here and I'll figure out where you're supposed to be, Parker."

"Just...wait? Here?" Peter asked, pointing to the spot he was standing in. "What if, uh, Mr. Stark comes back?"

"That means he found you before I found him to inform him that you were here." Eliza gave him a large grin, picking up the secretary clip board that she carries around with her and putting her phone in her pocket. "He won't blast you off with his Iron Man suit, Parker.  That is, unless you're some secret villain.  Then he will blast you off with his Iron Man suit."

Peter's eyes widened in slight panic.  "I'm- I'm not a villain.  No, that's not me.  Just, um- I'm not even a vigilante!  Just little ole me..."  He trailed off, giving a nervous laugh at the end.

Eliza raised an eyebrow as she walked to leave the room, giving a slow nod.  "Yeah," she told him.  "Just little ole you."  She opened the door then and before fully leaving said, "Wait here.  He'll be here soon."

"Yes, ma'am."

Eliza snorted in amusement as she left, meanwhile Peter winced in embarrassment.

[Peter, you precious cupcake

ok so i'm not posting the first chapter until i get more of Secrets done bc i don't want to neglect either one (which will probs happen at some point idk) but hopefully this was a good prologue ???

Also I tried to depict Eliza's personality in this (angry, but a bit care free, a bit sarcastic, takes no one's shit) so hopefully I did well with that]
