There were moments, small moments, that perked the Meyers' interests about Eliza and how she was doing mentally. Or, actually, they could be considered big moments since it was a serious situation; but nonetheless, Josh and Jaz Meyers became seriously worried for their friend. Today was one of those days. Eliza looked happy. Almost too happy. Especially when they saw her during lunch right after one of her mid-semester exams. Even Peter was questioning what was wrong. Eliza didn't greet Jasmine with a cold stare, but rather a fond smile. Unless he wasn't told so, the two still haven't talked out their differences. (Which, really, should have happened by now). But from the glance Josh gave him, Peter guessed that they haven't done so at all.Peter was also caught up with everything going on with the crystal and Morgana. They had no new news or knowledge about anything, which was clearly shown from both Stark twins as he talked to them about it. When Eliza and Killian told him what had went down with Doctor Strange, it was evident that Eliza wasn't happy. At all. And it wasn't the anger that was shown; but rather sadness, an emotion Peter has never really witnessed with Eliza. He didn't know about how Tony Stark felt about it all, but Peter was pretty sure the billionaire wasn't any better than his kids.
So, as Eliza came to lunch with a cheery attitude, the three friends of the girl were utterly confused. Peter kept on glancing over at her as he ate. He was preparing himself for a mean comment from her or at least something negative. Jaz sat awkwardly as she finished her homemade salad. The redhead was clearly confused. She clearly wasn't expecting Eliza to act all friendly. Josh eyed her carefully. He was cautious with his wording and of the topics he brought up as the four of them talked. All in all, it was an odd and unnerving situation.
It continued like that for the rest of the day, too. Whenever any of the friends caught sight of Eliza in the hallways or somewhere on campus, they watched her cheery attitude from where they stood with curiosity and caution. Josh even found Jasmine and Peter during their class of the day and spoke with them in an empty classroom, asking what the hell was up with their usual bitchy friend. But none of them could come up with an answer. And none of them wanted to ask Eliza if everything was okay incase her good mood turned for the worse.
But Peter Parker continuously got more worried. At work, he was debating on if he should go check up on the girl. He was weighing the options. Go and possibly make a beast come out, or stay put at his desk and do nothing about it. He even ran into Killian earlier. Peter was going to ask Killian if anything was wrong with Eliza, but the Stark boy was soon dragged off from a friend of his. Now, Peter was back at his desk, worry eating away at him.
He tapped on the surface of the desk he was working at, various layouts for tech that Tony Stark had given him to look over, along with some scientific equations. Although, the nineteen year old couldn't focus on the work. His mind was solely focused on Eliza and what was up with her mood. Abruptly, he stood up from the desk and muttered something about taking a break, leaving the room he was in without second thoughts, and made his way to where Eliza would be. In her own little office.
