"In a three week time span you got suspended for punching Austin Turner, got jumped by some ass and had to get stitches, and managed to more stitches on your shoulder from a vase falling on you as you ran from Killian because you put ants down his pants.  How is that possible for a person?"

"Is our dear Eliza even a person?" Jasmine Meyers teased, giggling as her brunette friend glared at her as they walked down the hallways of the college building.  Josh, her adoptive brother, laughed as well and hi-fived his sister.  "I'm kidding, Ellie, you know that."

Eliza rolled her eyes.  "Whatever."

Her best friend then stopped abruptly and stepped to the side, gently grabbing the brunette's arm to make her follow him.  Jasmine followed and soon the three of them were standing beside the wall, all facing each other.  Josh then crossed his arms and asked, "What's up your ass today, Martin?  You would usually laugh with us when we teased you."

"Nothing's up my ass," she sighed.  Running a hand through her hair, she looked around the hallway filled with exhausted looking students that all most likely stayed up too late the night before.  "I just have a lot on my mind."

"Don't doubt it – you nearly died," Jasmine commented.

"I think she knows that, Jaz," Josh told his sister.

Again, Eliza rolled her eyes.  "And if it wasn't for Peter Parker I would probably be dead."

Jasmine perked up from scowling at Josh at hearing the name, eyebrows raising and eyes widening.  "Peter Parker?  He goes here!  He's in a few of my classes."

"Really?"

"Oh, yeah.  Shy, but he's nice.  And cute," Jasmine smirked, nudging her friend's arm as she wiggled her eyebrows.

Josh laughed as he realized what Jasmine was hinting at and Eliza merely frowned.  "Don't set me up with anyone, Jaz."

"Like I would set you up with Peter," Jasmine scoffed, "You would scare the poor kid away!  I mean, it would be amazing if you finally got a boyfriend."

"You're one to talk," Eliza said.  "Miss Single Lady who merely pines over hot guys yet never woman's up to get him."

"Oh, shut up!  Anyway...  Have you thanked him at all yet?"

"Please don't let your ego be getting in the way of apologizing," Josh sighed.

Eliza furrowed her eyebrows together as she shook her head.  "No- but it's not because of my ego!  I haven't seen him around at work."

Josh rolled his eyes this time and laid a hand on his best friend's shoulder – the one that wasn't wounded, of course.  "That's when you go look for him," he told her.  Jasmine pointed to her adoptive brother and nodded in agreement.  "You should thank him, Ellie."
