>RED SKY AT MORNING<
"Alright, come on," Sam held Dean's arm around his shoulders as he helped him into their hotel room after finally being dismissed from the hospital.
"I'm fine," Dean grumbled, nudging his little brother away. Karoline and Alayna shared a look at his stubbornness, watching him limp to the couch as he grabbed at his stitches.
"You need to be careful, the doctor said you need to rest otherwise you could rip your stitches, hemorrhage and die." Sam said, his hands on his hips, so maybe he was exaggerating a little bit, but this was serious. Dean needed to take it easy.
Dean rolled his eyes, dropping onto the couch, "The only thing I'm gonna to die from is embarrassment," Karoline smirked at his dramatics, coming around to fluff his pillow for him. "I'm a hunter, and I almost got done in from walking into a knife."
"I've walked into a knife plenty of times," Karoline shrug it off and Dean tossed her a look that said he didn't believe her. "Okay, so maybe I haven't, but it's fine." She brushed his fuzz out of his face and pressed a light kiss to his lips.
"I'll put this in the kitchen, make some lunch." Alayna said as she took the left over food from the hospital and headed into the small kitchen area.
Karoline gave Dean a small smile before hurrying after her sister, "What're we going to do?" She asked, dropping her voice into a whisper.
"Make lunch." Alayna said like it was obvious, flashing the bread bag to her blonde sister.
Karoline rolled her eyes, "I mean, about Catherine. She tried to kill Dean, we can't let her get away with that."
"Yes, we can," Alayna said, her brown eyes stern. "The only reason she went after Dean is because I didn't listen to her, well now I am. Sam and I broke up. She won."
Karoline watched her for a moment, her blue eyes looking at her incredulously, 'You're being naive and you know it." Before Alayna could respond a knocking at the door caught their attention.
"I got it." Alayna said, brushing passed Karoline to answer the door. "Jason, hey?" She frowned as Jason came barging in without so much as a greeting. "No, please, come on in." Alayna muttered to herself sarcastically as she closed the door before facing the others.
"What're you doing here?" Karoline frowned.
"A friend of mine -Sheila- just died and I promised her Aunt I'd figure out how." Jason rushed out, ending with a big smile and his hands clasped together.
"How'd she die?" Sam asked curiously.
"She drowned."
"Look, Jase," Dean began hesitantly. "Sorry, about your friend and all, but this just doesn't-"
"In the shower," Jason added, effectively cutting him off.
"Okay, that's weird." Dean conceded, looking back at Sam and the girls.
