>FRESH BLOOD<
Karoline pushed up off the hood of the Buick when Alayna came out of the diner with their food and she watched her with worried eyes, after her fight with Sam earlier she'd been moody and distant. In fact ever since that day with Catherine she'd been moody and distant. "You okay?"
"Nope." She answered shortly.
Before she could ask any further questions an all too familiar face broke into their conversation, "Hello ladies." They both whirled around to see Gordon standing there, looking a little worse for the wear. His eyes were blood shot, his hands shaking.
"Gordon," Karoline made a move toward him, but before she could do anything Gordon grabbed Alayna, pulling her back into his chest and wrapping his arm around her throat.
"Don't be stupid," Gordon warned as Alayna reached her hands up to try and pry him off of her, but his grip was iron strong. "Necks break easy around here."
"I can take you," Karoline said, her hands clenched at her sides.
"You wanna bet?" Gordon smart assed, smirking at the blonde.
Karoline looked at Alayna who nodded, "Yeah, I do." Alayna brought her elbow back into his stomach causing his grip to loosen around her throat. At the same time Karoline launched herself at him, kneeing him in the stomach and throwing him to the ground. "Let's go," She grabbed Alayna's arm, turning to rush them to the car.
Alayna caught a glimpse of his reflection in the car window, "Kari!" She called out, but it was too late, he swung his arm and Karoline dropped to the ground, unconscious. Alayna whirled around, ready to fight, but she barely caught a glimpse of his murderous eyes before everything went black.

As soon as daylight had come along, they started canvassing the whole damn town. Gordon had to be somewhere, a vampire wouldn't just be wandering around in the sunlight. That much about the legend was true. They didn't like the sun. Dean opened the door to his and Karoline's motel room and stormed in with a frustrated sigh as he shrugged out of his jacket and tossed it on the bed. "Man, I must have checked three dozen motels, empty buildings, warehouses..." He listed off to his brother, shaking his head as he went into the bathroom.
"Yeah, me too. Big city." Sam answered from where he was pouring over a clutter of maps. Dean leant over the sink, splashing his face with water and groaning from sheer exhaustion.
"Where're the girls?" He asked, noticing that they weren't in the room with Sam like when he left.
"They went to go get some food." Sam answered distractedly.
