I saw this girl on the train ride home
Looked like she'd come straight from Rome
Raised under the Holy dome
I saw her on my way back home
She smiled at me yeah, gave me a wink
And then she pulled a gun, just in a blink
Shot someone and I saw him sink
Over by the skating rink
Innocent though she seems
Her smile like sunlight beams
She'll tear you at the seams
And shatter all your dreams
Cause she's a killer yeah
She's killing for a living
(Killing for a living)
And she's a killer yeah
To her my heart I'm giving
(Heart I'm giving)
I followed her off that train
Running through the pouring rain
Though what I hoped to gain
Was lost to me, yeah
She turned after a hundred paces
Said "You know, I blow off faces"
Kingpins stay in my good graces
Or they get blown away"
"I know very well" said I
"And yet I cannot lie!
Tell you the truth I must
Before my insides bust"
"I know that you're a killer yeah
That you're killing for a living
(Killing for a living)
But I can't help it, yeah
To you my heart I'm giving
(Heart I'm giving)"
Watch it! She said
Before I pickle you with lead
And you end up dead!
Oh how my heart then bled
I watched her walk away that night
Immobilized I was, with fright
And I guess I never might
Forgive myself for that night
For I'd played with fire you see
And endangered everyone close to me
I'd gone down on one knee
For someone who'd just as soon kill me
But she was a killer yeah
She was killing for a living
(Killing for a living)
And though she was a killer whoa
To her my heart I'd given
(Heart I'd given)
And I guess it's ok...
