Amy's POVThe whole 3 game series against the rangers had so much tension. If you thought they had a rivalry then, they really had one now. Odor winded up getting a 4 game suspension which I personally he should've gotten more than that but oh well it is what it is. On the day we were leaving the stadium to head back to Houston, He tried coming around me again to 'apologize' but in reality was trying to once again he was trying to get under George's skin and he was about to touch me again and something just snapped in me and I punched his jaw. I felt that I had power and that I have control over me and no one else. And that's something I'm slowly trying to get myself to remember.
After our 3 game series in Arlington, which we won 2 out of 3 games. From there it was we headed back to Houston and George was this year's spokesperson for the SAY organization. SAY organization helps and supports young people or mainly children who stutter and let them see they are just like everybody else in the world that have voices, it just take a little bit longer for them to speak. I'm beyond happy that they have picked George as this year's spokesperson he is a perfect example of what SAY's message is all about. We are currently at lucky strike bowling alley and I'm sitting on of the couches there watching my boyfriend pacing in front of me.
"Babe stop pacing your gonna do fine." I said while sitting down and watching George going back and forth.
"I know it's just..these kids look up to me as a role model and want to be able to help them out and inspire them as much as I can." He said
I got up and grabbed both of his toned arms.
"George, I'm telling you that your gonna do fine trust me. If you stop and think about it, those kids already see you as an inspiration because the fact that you stutter, doesn't stop you from chasing your dream. So therefore you have nothing to worry about and don't speak because people want you to say this or that. You speak from your heart because you George have a big heart. And that's of the many qualities you have."
He smiled at me and cupped my face with both of his hands.
"How on earth did I get someone like you?" He asked.
"I ask myself that question all the time." I said.
"You know when I first met you, you would've been not giving me this kinda advice. Also I see that your more happy and open. What changed and we've been dating for 2 months now."
"Time and Realization." I said
"Realizing what?"
"I'll tell you later."
He then grabbed both of my hands.
"Now if I don't get to be nervous, neither should you."
" What do you mean, I'm not nervous about anything."
"You can't lie with me Amy, I know you to the point where I know when you lie or when something is bothering you."
"What gives you an idea that I'm lying." I said stalling
"Well the obvious is that you don't make direct eye contact with me and you move your right foot on top of your left foot weather standing up or sitting down and that's the only time you do that."
"Okay you caught me but can you blame me? I mean I'm meeting part of your family today and what if they don't like me or what if I make a bad impression or what if-"
I was caught with his lips being pressed to mine. He was pouring all my worries away with his kisses. He pulled away and looked at my eyes that made me relax.
"You have absolutely nothing to worry about and plus all that your meeting is my sister's, they're gonna love you. They're actually excited to meet you. Both of them won't quit nagging on how bad they want to see you. My parents couldn't make it because my dad is sick with a flu and my mom stayed to take care of him."
