Amy's POV

Its Wednesday afternoon and I'm in my room with my main light off and my fairy lights on, listening to Daughtry no surprise.

For the last three days, I've been under a lot of pressure. After the whole picnic in the park, I was automatically working on the story for the chronicle and on top of that, I've been studying like crazy for two exams that I have to take this Friday of my least favorite subjects. Physics and algebra ugh. And since I started my journey to recovery, my temptation has skyrocketed. When I told my cousins about my horrible habit, they were very supportive and told me to always come to them when I have nightmares or when I'm tempted. I love them both so much, they mean a lot to me. My phone started ringing and I didn't even bother to look at the caller id.

"Hello?"

"Hey Amy its me."

Oh shit its freaking George

"Oh hey"

"How you been"

"Eh well let's just say I'm hanging in there." I said laughing softly

"Why what's wrong?"

"Nothing just its one of those weeks where I'm under a lot of pressure from school."

"I can relate to that not just from baseball but also from when I was in college to."

"Yeah."

"Anyway I was calling to let you know that I got an idea for Friday. I was thinking maybe you and I can eat at this spot I go to and then from there well... I'll show you from there but I promise you'll like it."

"Sure I get off at school by 12:30 instead of 2 so yeah we can do it then and what's the dress code?"

"Dress casual and comfortable and I'll pick you up from your apartment say around 1:30?"

"You know where I live?" I asked confused.

"Considering I walked you home remember?"

"Oh yeah right sorry my head is like a damn circus right now." I said as I rubbed my temples.

He laughed. "It's okay I understand listen I gotta go, I have batting practice but I'll see you Friday. Are you gonna watch the game tonight?"

"You know it good luck George."

"Thanks Amy, I'll see you Friday and when it comes to school I know it sucks but your a strong woman, you can do it."

"Thanks." I said with a smile on my face.

"Alright Amy I'll talk you later bye."

"Bye George." With that I hung up.

I eventually got off of my bed and went to my desk and started studying again.

George's POV

The team and I were currently behind the batting cage as we practiced our swing for our game tonight.

"So what are you doing Friday George?" Tuker asked me.

"I'm going out with a friend."

"Would that friend happen to be the same girl from picnic in the park? The one where you just couldn't take your eyes off hm?" He asked while smirking at me. I playfully pushed his shoulder.

"Yes and that girl has a name. Amy."

"So is it a date?" He asked

"It's not a date. I barely met her Tucker, come on and besides I don't think she's ready for that yet. We still want to get to know each other." I explained.
