Nails and a hammer,
Screws and a screw gun,
Building a house,
Our dream house
With nothing and everything to lose.
She wants the green yard,
With the white picket fence.
She wants the big back yard,
And three kids.
She wants a large kitchen
With big family dinners,
And she wants her dream house
To be called a home.
Built brick by brick,
Board by board,
She wants her dream house
To be yours and hers alone.
She wants the American dream,
But is it really her dream?
She wants her dream house
To be called their home.
