Steven called you, telling you to immediately get to the temple. Apparently, it was of the upmost importance that you did. Naturally, you were concerned and ran there as quickly as you could manage.
Was Pearl okay? Did something go wrong? Was everyone else alright? Did Connie get hurt in training? Was there another threat to Beach City?
These thoughts suddenly swarmed in your mind like a whirlpool of butterflies. All the little things seemed to matter so much, that they confuse you.
Panting heavily, you arrived at his house and slammed the door open. Your eyes had corncern in them as you must stared at Steven and Pearl who were standing, talking in the lounge area.
Your arrival interrupted their conversation. Steven nudged Pearl and pushed her gently into your direction. She looked down slightly and chuckled nervously.
"Soooo... (Y/N). Uh, I..." Pearl was shaking like a kid left in the dark. She looked back at Steven for guidance and he gave her a thumbs up.
This made you worried. You REALLY like Pearl but if she can't be relaxed and comfortable around you then maybe the two of you should stop hanging out. It would shatter your heart like Pink Diamond if you were the reason behind all of this.
She cleared her throat and smirked confidently. Only now had you realised her different attire. You came to the conclusion that Amethyst must have something to do with this.
"Did you sit in sugar? Coz you've got a sweet ass~" Pearl leaned closer to you and whispered the last sentence. You blushed, not expecting this to happen but then started chuckling.
"W-What's so funny? Isn't this what humans say to one another?" Pearl was confused and looked rather embarrassed at her pick up line.
"Oh, Pearl," You caught your breath and sighed. "You're adorable." You gently kissed her on the cheek, making her cheeks turn blue.
You twisted on your heel to face the door but glanced backwards before you closed it.
"I'll see you around."
And with that, you were gone, leaving Steven jumping for joy and Pearl love-struck. Whatever you did to her, she liked it. Pearl needed to investigate this and had the perfect plan.
