Ever since the kiss, Pearl has been nervous around you. It didn't bug you as such because you too, were shy in her presence. You did notice that she would stare at you when you weren't looking but like most humans, you sensed when someone was staring. You often felt that tiny spot on the back of your head burn until you were tempted to spin around. It usually ended up with Pearl gazing in another direction, blushing. Sometimes, you could even see her turn her face away from you. It was quite cute, you had to admit.

This only happened ever since that kiss, resulting in you having mixed emotions about that occurrence. The kiss was to represent feelings and admiration, however, it is those same feelings that drew you two apart.

UGH. EMOTIONS! Am I right lads, or am I right, lads?

It was hard trying to figure out how to confront Pearl - no way were you going to stay in this situation. Struggling to come up with a plan, you came to a conclusion that Garnet would know what to do. She was all about love and her ability to see the paths of the future might come in handy.

"Hi Steven!" You greeted him on the beach. Yet again, he was practicing with Connie, trying news things with their Stevonnie fusion.
"(Y/N)!!!" Steven came bounding over to you like a puppy, Connie running at his tail. He hugged you around your waist since he couldn't reach any higher than that. You had never realised how short Steven was before.

"Hey, Steven! Have you seen Garner anywhere? I, uh, need to ask her something about... um... fusion. Yeah, fusion." You paused and stuttered, trying to think of a believable reason without hinting at the real reason.

Steven did his glare, seemingly suspecting something but then suddenly smiled with joy.
"She went to help my Dad sort out some things with his van." Steven remembered and continued to jam out with Connie.

You hadn't really met Steven's Dad properly but you were sure he was as nice as his son. You headed towards the carwash but Garnet was already making her way over to you.

"So, (Y/N), we need a plan." She casually said, starting a conversation.

"Uhh, a p-plan?" You were surprised by her sudden gesture, having not spoken to her previously.

"A plan for Pearl. That was what you came here to ask me about?" Garnet leaned against a nearby tree, adjusting her shades.

"Yeah but h-how did you- when could- but I haven't-"

"Future vision." Her visors sparkled as she smiled slightly. You vaguely recall Steven informing you about her powers but didn't know how accurate they could be.

"(Y/N). This is your business. I hope you are brave enough to approach Pearl. Because you're a match." She lowered her shades and winked, the thought of Pearl making you blush.

"Here's a good luck kiss. Steven likes them." She kissed you on the forehead, which somehow gave you the ability to see into the future! You quickly pulled away.

"Woah, what was that!?" You jumped back even further. Garner just looked at you and gently chuckled.

"Future vision. It usually only lasts the time of the transferral and you can only see when connected, but, I made this one extra special. It will last for a week so don't waste time. Good luck, (Y/N). Pearl needs someone like you." Garnet walked off, presumably back to the temple.

Steven's Dad must've noticed you as he came up to you from behind.

"Hey, do you know Garnet?" You turned around to face him and nodded quickly while flashing a grin.

"Oh! You're Steven's Father! It's lovely to meet you again, Mr. Universe." You offered your hand and he shook it with his.

"Steven tells me so much about you. As does Connie. They really look up to you, ya know." He randomly said out of the blue.

"O-oh. Well I'm no role model But that is a nice thought. Sorry, Sir, I must go now. It was nice to see you again." You waved and went off.

"See ya round, sweetheart!" He shouted back, waving also.

Now, time to see what will happen next...

The next chapter will be out one day. Hopefully within this month but ya know how it is. School and all that. Sorry that this is a bit short; I didn't have much of an opportunity to write more. Well, at least it's like my temper - short.
Anyway, I hope ya liked it and have a lovely day! :D
